Just tell the men to keep working hard over the summer. Heck it's been what forty years? Got a couple of Lion fans  here so not like the kids are here jacking their jaws. We will see what happens and hopefully they get off to a good start and come district maybe something happens. Your right easy to talk about it but if you have no hope what up?

why do you feel other teams are any better! Yea they know what it taste like to be in the playoffs and to win games but i cant remeber when Kountze has one four games. coming from 0 to 4 changed our mindset threw that year, we want the playoffs really bad and we are going to get them. Im no i sure am talking allot of smack but i wouldnt talk it if i knew we couldnt back it up. Next year will be the year we break the 40 yr playoff droubt for Kountze.

40 year playoff drought ???  Man thats not a drought thats a dried up lake ;D

Seriously I hope the Lions can pull it off, if not this year maybe next

July 4th Everyone has shot, but you guys are going to have to upset Buna or Deweyville and hold serve against the rest of the district.

good luck to you guys, but just don't see it happen.

Just my opinion.

Kountze has great potential, and with some early season success could be better than last year.

That being said you will have to beat one of the three playoff teams from last year while also holding of three teams looking to turn there fortunes around.

If you can beat either EC, Buna, or Deweyville and hold serve against everyone else in the district then you guys will make it.  In my OPINION you will not beat the before mention 3 playoff teams from 2006.

It is great to see your passion, but it is clouding you objectivity.

"It is great to see your passion, but it is clouding you objectivity". Bird maybe just maybe he has a son playing and he is hoping for the best. Think? Is that considered cloudy or hope? Let me see here what we can do J'' Lets hope for the best and plan for the worst.  ??? Please Bird tell us who your team is so we can blast them and take some shots please. Better yet NOT.

The playoffs werent out of reach last year, we were tied with deweville, and warren. and if buna would had lost there game it would have been a toss up. things just didnt fall our way last year, but coming back with the SAME team, bigger, faster, and stronger, we will be a force in the district.

Not trying to down Kountze here but I don't think they were tied with Deweyville and Warren.EC,Deweyville and Buna were the playoff teams last year.Buna and Warren played at Buna the last game of the season for the last playoff spot.I wouldn't overlook Warren this year, they had some some key losses at QB and RB but they won't be bad. They had a big lead at Deweyville last year before some key injuries slowed them in the second half.Anahuac will also have someting to say about the playoff positions.EC is the favorite here the rest are to close to call.Kountze has as good a shot as anybody.

The tie thing is deeper than i made it sound. Buna and warren were fighting for a 2nd place, who ever lost would have been tied with Kountze. If we would have beat deweville than all three teams would have been tied for third.

Tell me how giving my opinion in my previous post is blasting or taking shots at the Kountze Lions.

Good luck to the lions, but they have a huge mountain to climb to make the playoffs in that district.  MY OPINION

I think its going to be a toss up between our football and basketball, basketball has a slight favor because we know what its like to be good, but i know our football is coming back better than ever! Sounds crazy but we lost a bunch in basketball and what we have is good but not what it was.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
