No, Derek and Cameron were not selected for this team although they probably should have been included.  They were selected to play at Rice on a Houston area all-star team along with Colby T.  Good luck to all.

The Houston area all-star game is on the 19th and 20th @ Rice. There is also a combine associated with this event. It is on the 19th @ HBU. Also, on the 19th @ Rice is an all-star game made up junior (soon to be seniors ) prospects. Kendall Thamm (BH pitcher) has been invited to play in the juniors game. Not sure, but would imagine that Ross Hales ( BH pitcher ) will be there also. Good luck to all players, especially the seniors.

At the State Tourney last week, they announced the 1A-3A game would be at 2pm while 4A&5A would play at 7pm. Both games would be played at Dell Diamond on Saturday June 16th.

Southeast Texas baseball talent in all-star game

Outfielders Rocky Calhoun of Silsbee and Johnny Dishon of Bridge City, catcher Jake Rowell of Little Cypress-Mauriceville and shortstop Braeden Riley of Woodville will participate in the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association all-star games today in Round Rock.

Rowell is on the Class 5A-4A south all-star team. Calhoun, Dishon and Riley are on the Class 3A-A south all-star team.

The games pit south and north all-star teams against each other. Both are at Dell Diamond.

I talked to the Rogers coach yesterday who is one of the South coaches for the 1-3A game and he had just come in from practice, he was very impressed with both Dishon and Calhoun...he repeated the sentiments of 21-3A being the toughest in the state...Good Luck to both of these gentelmen as they represent our district and good luck to all of our SE Texas representatives...
