Small schools are out recruiting and out playing them. Recruiting MLB talent is all fine and good until they never step on campus or leave after 3 years.

I agree.  Baseball recruiting is a whole different animal.  You really can’t recruit the best players because they go straight to the draft.

I see why they "rained out" Tuesday's game with Cougar High. Playing LSU on a Thursday will do that.

4 of the 5 A&M home SEC series this year are Thurs-Sat.  Whoever made that schedule should be shot.  Next week we get Texas at Home on Tuesday the Bama for the Thurs-Saturday series

LSU takes game 1 by a score of 4-1.  A&M’s offense needs to be shot also.

A&M won the last 2 games to take the series vs LSU.

A&M vs Texas Tuesday night at 6pm in College Station.

The Horns had a good week against average competition. Still, they are winning games they would have lost when the season started. Moved back into the Baseball America Top 25.

A&M has taken the first 2 games from Bama and will go for the sweep today.

Texas had a nice comeback defeating 1st place OU 7-6.  Texas trailed the whole game but scored runs in the 6th, 7th, 8th, and 3 in the 9th for the win.

Bama sux

Texas took game 2 by a score of 5-3 and will go for the sweep today at 1pm.  Texas is now in 1st in the Big 12, tied in the loss column with OU and Okie Lt but with 3 more wins than both.  The uneven scheduling is kind of confusing, but Texas is in good shape in conference.

Tech is Ranked top 5 in the country.  They do have the top teams left to play in conference in OU, TCU, Texas, and Okie Lt.

TCU has struggled this year and is probably on the bubble for the postseason right now.  They should get in with a few series wins, but they aren’t in the conversation for hosting a regional as of now.

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. Texas does not have party registration, but a voter’s primary voting history is public. The Covey campaign has not released its methodology behind its claim, but  This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up  by The Texan news website found that 9% of Republican voters in the March District 21 primary had voted in one of the previous four Democratic primaries. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history. And Phelan’s allies in the House dismissed the idea that liberals swung the election. "I knocked on doors, hundreds and hundreds of doors, made calls for Dade,” Republican Rep. Jeff Leach, R-Plano, said on Mark Davis’ radio program Wednesday. “I did not speak to a single Democrat down here in HD21. Not a single one." "
