Over the last few years our area has had numerous embezzlement cases.  And yesterday I heard of a lady working in one of our local churches who had embezzled $75K, and another local lady today who embezzled $80K from a school group.

Understand, I'm no accountant.  Rather I'd mention one of the last lines of Our Lords Prayer, "Lead us not into temptation".  That is what happens when any organization allows one person to handle the money.  If any of you are involved with any group that collects, or handles money, please set financial accounts up where it takes at least two people to sign off on any transactions.  It's not an absolute cure all , but it'll certainly make embezzlement much more difficult.  Don't put that much temptation on one person.
