**Post Tues. Feb 6th Scores Here**

The keeper for Central was carded for kicking the ball away from the Vidor player. After he was carded he tryed to attack the ref, it took the entire team of Central to hold him back and he was not red carded. Refs also missed a HUGE foul inside the box that would have tied the game up 3-3..... Vidor WILL win the next game between these two. They started the game without 3 of there starters and once there all-star defender went in, Central couldn’t score. Central's team has the least class out of ANY team I have ever seen. They taunted the crowd after they shook hands. Central, you better go home and thank God that your 6-0 because once refs start paying attention, there goes ya'lls season!!

I think everyone agrees on Central being a dirty/unethical team; however, despite the senseless fouls and bad officiating the teams in this district are going to have to find a way to play good soccer and win as a team.  There is no doubt Central has a few good players, but in my opinion there are at least four or five better "TEAMS" in the district.  I am sure that Vidor and Nederland both feel that they should have won their games against Central.  The next time they play, each team is going to have to play their style of soccer and not lose their composure.

By the way Yourworstnight, congrats on your win!  You need to stay humble though.  It's great that you scored so many goals early, and you have even played well early against some good teams in the district.  However, your team tends to fall apart and run out of gas after that against the better teams.  It's going to take 80 minutes of solid soccer to beat a good team.

Port Neches-Groves boys 2, Little Cypress-Mauriceville 0

PORT NECHES -- Once this 20-4A district race started, Indians' chief Don Sandell switched Eric Parks to sweeper. That's made a huge difference for the Port Neches-Groves boys soccer team.

A senior who dabbled at forward and midfield, Eric has found his natural position. Naturally, PN-G has benefitted. The Tribe limited Little Cypress-Mauriceville to eight shots and downed the Bears 2-0 on Tuesday at The Reservation.

PN-G (6-2-2 and 5-1) stayed in title contention by getting six saves from keeper Steven Baque and the Indians have blanked four straight league opponents with Parks as their sweeper.

"He's really turned our defense around," Sandell said. "The defense has started to put together a nice run."

Matt Morrell knocked home a header from the six-yard box after taking a cross from Sean LeBlanc about 25 minutes into the game. The goal stood for a 1-0 halftime edge. Matt Parks notched the insurance goal midway into the second half, capitalizing on a well-placed thru ball by Evan Johnson. PN-G led in shots, 12-8, as LC-M dropped to 3-7 and 2-4.
