I'm in my own classification, i'm not a follower.  All i know is that you will have plenty of excuses after we win it all just like you had after the game yall lost. We should have punted and our offensive coordinator was not at the game. Give me a break, i almost ask you if you need some cheese for that WINE. My IQ allows me to remember that!!!

This is crazy....this whole time I thought you were male. I didn't know you had YOUR own classification. :)

As for those excuses, not to sure where you got those, but they were definitely not from me. Go back and read my post from that week. I believe I stated we got whipped.

Maybe 86 stands for the number of times you were beat up in school or something. This will make a lot of sense according to your post.

I almost hate to even say this for the benefit of whisperer and lamar  but what the heck!  After looking back through some of the archives I discovered Nederland had 2 teams in flag when the juniors now were in flag at that time.  I believe the Nederland black team at that time beat Bugatti and the studs in the big game.  Oh and Lamar I hate to say this but there were excuses of the ref's back then.  Does flag count or not?  That is the only time I can see Nederland having 2 teams playing against bmt studs.

 

 

and no I don't think Nederland could do it now if those boys had stayed down this year.

Less not talk about violence, because i respect my elders so lets not go there. I see your a lier and when youre called out you want to talk about fights and people IQ, so you and i have noting else to say before i start taking it personal and i promise you i wouldnt lose this fight with you or your son granpaps!!! jag86, you might want to clean your ears out next time.  Plus please layoff the juice dude.  Like Whisperer said this board is all fun and games.  If you can't handle the flappin now don't be here come week 6.  :D  Now I'm going to start concentrating on PNG P since this is our next opponent.  I would advise you to do the same.  Y'all have your hands full this week.

Honestly, I think its because at first their program was very weak and they were labeled as the easy win on each teams schedule. They have worked very hard to turn that program around and I think that personally they have done an amazing job. I know their posts can seem very cocky at times and a lil on the bragging side but these guys call it flappin and that swhat they are doing is flappin. I don't think that they are ben t out of shape just eager to prove themselves to doubters and haters of their organization which in turn is just crazy flappin! We play them this week and personally I cant wait. My son is now in junior high so I asked to help this years Senior team and have never seen them play but have heard many good things about their coaches and talent. It will be a chess match come Saturday morning and word on the Mom- Line is that they have been practicing extra extar for this one so I know its gonna be the one to watch. Good luck to both teams and No injuries only a great rivalry to begin and good sportsmanship!!!

      If there's a specific situation that started this thread, I don't know the details.  Nor do I care.  But I do have an opinion about what I'm gathering from some of the comments. My opinion: I do believe that an AD should leave the players of a particular sport to their respective head coach during that season.  The varsity players of that sport anyway.  I believe it's a little different concerning the sub varsity players of that sport.  If an AD/HFC decides to grab some JV baseball players for some offseason football stuff during the athletics period, I don't have AS MUCH of a problem with it.  I would still consider it a common courtesy to discuss with the head coach of that particular sport to consider their thoughts on it. I also believe that ALL athletes should be lifting and running all year.  When in a particular season, I believe that the head coach of that sport should control the reigns on that topic to implement some sport specific lifting/running during their season.  But all athletes should be in the weight room year round. As far as playing multiple sports?  I'm an advocate.  I know that the popular idea is for potentially good/great players in a specific sport to "focus" on that sport.  And I agree.. but focusing on one sport doesn't mean stopping the others.  It just means prioritizing time in a way that extra work is put into that specific sport.  After hours, weekends, holidays/summer, etc..  Just because you plan on making a push into college baseball (for example) doesn't mean you can't work on baseball during other sports seasons.  That's exactly what I did.. and countless others.  Plus, it's important to maybe learn how to be a role player in a sport that you're not the best at.  Because that's coming. That's my opinion.  And I come from an era where kids played multiple sports if they knew it would be helping.  Helping their classmates.. or just contributing to school pride.  I hate knowing that there are schools that could be much more competitive if their kids would just come out.  It's hard for me to understand if I'm being honest.

      I wasn't arguing the point of how an AD keeps his job. The question was "what has happened to Jasper" as in their whole athletic department. They were much much better in those other sports even when football was successful. Not anymore. Something definitely has changed.

      It's common knowledge that this sort of thing happens on ranches, out in the country, etc.  I'd be willing to bet that a good number of people who participate in this forum have had to do something similar. That said, she's an absolute moron for putting it in a book, period.  The act of killing the dog can be justified, especially for those of us familiar with how life on a ranch/farm works,  but publicizing it is inexcusable for someone in her position.  I honestly have no clue what she was thinking.  60% percent of the country already doesn't like trump, and now his most likely running mate has a major controversy over killing a dog.  Pure stupidity.

      There are times when certain things are appropriate, and when they are not.  We can agree to disagree on the appropriateness of star baseball players doing contact football drills in the days leading up the baseball playoffs.
