District 12-3A D1 Predictions

Recommended Posts

I wouldn't call losing to Kirbyville 8-0 not being able to handle somebody... Yea we lost but it's not like we couldn't handle y'all lol

your right maybe a little harsh that was a great game!  but 8 or 80 its still a win and I think Kville is going to much improved over last year.  So Ill like our odds!

This is the funniest post I've seen in a while. Kirbyville will be the team to beat this year and for years to come. They were young last year and went out with a bang. So if y'all think Kountze and Woodville gonna beat them, better come to reality!

Woodville .. No .. I'm not saying Kountze will but kirbyville thinking there is no shot.. That's really foolish

Really? Because last year I thought we were only two points from beating Kville AT their house. Lol darn. Guess I better fix that memory problem, huh?
There's no doubting Woodville will be down this year. But to act like Kirbyville belongs in the same category as Newton and other state powerhouses is completely dumb. They're very young and talented. And have a lot to prove. Just like 75% of the other teams in this district.

When the last time Woodville beat Newton or been to state?? Let's not go there! The Wildcats have beaten teams recently that I would consider much tougher than Newton ( Carthage, WOS, Jasper)...stop it. I respect everybody in this district, but it's a no brainer with talent we have returning, we should make a good run.

Hmmm they beat teams tougher than Newton....funny....I never remember them beating Newton? Kirbyville had three good years. In which they were very good. Then went 2-8 following the season they were "upset" by a very good Coldspring team. And when did I ever even mention Woodville being better than Kirbyville? Lol please get out and watch a little more highschool football. Kirbyville has the potential and talent to make a run in the playoffs. But calling them a "no brainer" for a playoff run is disrespectful to teams who have actually earned the right to say that like Newton, WOS, Silsbee, Carthage, etc.

Kirbyville was good before those years of going to state. Where u been?? Newton have good tradition, but Carthage, WOS and Jasper have tons of talent every year! When Jack Alvarez took charge down here back in 2000 or 2001, Kirbyville got back tough from then on out. Yes we were down a couple yrs ago because of our starting Quarterback move to Ennis and tailback Berman Irvine who gave WOS all they could handle the year before moved as well. We also lost a lot of our coaching staff like Jack Alvarez and our defensive coordinator and it was just tough for Coach Neece the first 2 years. Ty Dennis and Dee Ballard didn't play against Woodville or Kountze last year, so get ready for the speedy backs this year. Dennis and Ballard are the real deal for years to come :)

Pretty sure Kountze was missing their starting QB

Let's calm down!! Yes I will say Kirbyville is the front runner for the district title but let the games be played first. In Alphabetical order Buna, EC, Kirbyville and Kountze are my playoff picks for this district and wish all teams success in the playoffs

I agree.. They are the front runners but they aren't so good that they won't be challenged.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
