Very impressive performance by them and SC for sure though.

you are correct, but SC ran the fastest time in the Prelims and then Desoto ran it in the Finals. Unfortunate our 3rd ran 50m limping after he pulled hamstring, otherwise Desoto was History! Not bragging IjS

he didn't run open 200m at TSU, he ran that at Atascocita Invitational.....go to tx running...he's #1 in the state in 4A not overall

I was wondering about the prelims/finals thing. I wasn't disagreeing with anything, I just like to look at results. I have a lot of respect for Coach Sands at SC... others as well, but mostly him. Good man and outstanding track coach. Although, I think Dayton will at least make things pretty exciting in the 4x4 next year.

No I understand. Yes Coach Sands does an excellent job with those guys. Him and Coach Ervin have that program at top notch right now...I'm hoping Dayton or somebody give us a run, because its looking like a cake walk for district, but we will see

I think Dayton is a year away with possibly 3 sophs and a freshman on the 4x4. They'll be older and deeper pretty much across the board next year though. If SC gets the stick around the track, they're likely to have 60 points just from three races. District might turn out to be a little more interesting than a lot of folks may think though. The 9 team district  really throws a kink in things when it comes to having to run prelims and finals for district. Most districts don't have to sweat that.

Prelims are prelims.  Desoto ran a faster time in the finals than anyone ran in the prelims.  I hope the kid from Summer Creek heals up by the State meet because that would be an awesome race.
