  1. I will be 24 by the end of the year, I have come across some 25 by year end leagues, but obviously for age reasons can't play in them. Are there any leagues available or any 25+ that allows younger to play? Walked away from a college scholarship a year in and been dying to get back in the game. Still have my cleats and glove. Lookin to lace up and take the field for someone.
  2. Goin a little further back, but was wondering if anyone could help. I need the roster (mainly the QB is what I'm looking for) for the 2003-2004 Hardin Hornets, and possibly West Hardin, football team. If you can help please email me: [email protected] thanks guys!
  3. P-Hicks C-Felts 1B-Hubbard 2B-LaLonde 3B-Robertson SS-Eaves OF-Pinder OF-Daigle OF-Statum Newcomer-toss up: really like kellogg but cant really disagree w/ the argument for jenkins.
  4. I tried sendin my info through the link on this website and it wouldnt go through, said undeliverable, any suggestions and/or info i can get?
  5. OF over HJ? i could see it happening, i wouldnt be surprised to see some flip flopping in those three spots(3,4,5). at least we all agree that it will be an exciting season in 21-3A... quick thanks to southpaw and bbtbaseball...
  6. Ok, first off to browncow, dont know why you made it that big and why that big of a deal. I've been around this group of kids for a long time and they've all played together since little league(granted so have many of the other kids at other schools) and they were brought into HS baseball with an outstanding coach in Landry w/ Lindstrom in the mix too. Being together for the past 3 years this team is all returners minus Courville. And there's a lot of speed and pop on this team. They have the experience and a definate drive this year, after falling short last year. Team has a lot of heart. Definately can't be overlooked in the playoff chase this year. I have high hopes for this team and could possibly challenge the 04 team for one of the better teams in school history. Landry is in BC now and knowing his work ethic and love for the game they will be competitive and have a great year like always, they just seem to find ways to win, and yes Hick's is a definate star in the district, but as said before, he isnt the whole team, it takes 9 to win a game. BC will be the team to beat this year and always have a target on there head. WOS is looking like they could be a wildcard this year, not expected, but could definately make the jump this year with their talent. I'm thinking if they can get rolling before district and come in with a bit of confidence it's a definate possibility. HJ always competes, I've never seen a team that puts up a fight like they do. Great coaching year in and year out. They never seem to be out of the chase and find ways to get it done, my prediction is a 3rd place finish and sneaking into the playoffs this year. As much as I may have a grudge against them, I tip my hat to a good team. As far as OF, not too sure, haven't heard too much from them. If I were to go off my playing days, you can't ever count them out when it comes to the final stretch of the season, if they are any where near finishing in the top 3, seems like things could possibly fall there way. Silsbee, although last in my assesment, cant be completely overlooked. A young team overall, may not have the experience as the other teams, but could surprise. Not my wildcard pick this year, but who knows. I like the returners in Skinner and Kelly, I think they will be great leaders for this up and coming young team. Kelly up the middle, whether at SS or 2nd will make the plays, good looking fielder with steady bat. Skinner has been solid and looks to finish out a great HS career, I'm expecting a better than par season from him, both on the mound and at the plate. Hopefully they can step up and lead this young team to a decent year and put them in the right direction for the next two years with the group of sophmores they have. Final Standings: BC - always tough and lookin to make a run behind Hicks. HF - has the speed and ability at the plate and an outfield trio that can compete with the best HJ - Fights til the end WOS - i think they can finish strong and beat out OF for the 4th spot but just missing the playoffs behind HJ OF - Tough year but expect more next year Silsbee - just not enough this year but young enough to look ahead and expect big things.
  7. Markum has by far the most smooth swing i have seen in a long time. watched him last year as a freshman and was blown away, the district better look out for this kid, im expecting big things from him for the next couple of years. This outfield trio is one to be challenged, Pinder has the speed to beat out a throw from 2nd with the slightest delay and definately from the left side of the infield. Daigle has pop and with the short porch for home games always a threat to take you deep at home, by far a top hitter in 3A this year. Minaldi has a great stroke and strong arm, as well as the other 2, smart kid and knows what needs to be done when he's out there. Eaves, coming back from his injury, is looking better and better, after an explosive BA last year you know the kid can get it done at the plate; don't let his injury throw you off, I'm expecting a lot from him in the field this year at SS. Rose needs to improve in the box, seems to be a little to impatient, a lot of movement in lower half, but definately has the tools when he puts it all together, and has always been a solid fielder. Lalonde is a definate threat up the middle, I'm expecting some great double plays from the Eaves Lalonde tandem; should be solid near the bottom of the lineup(not there b/c he cant hit) driving in the runs when needed. And Logan Johnson looks better every time I've seen him. Young but driven, has the heart to be one of the top pitchers in the district for the rest of his high school career. Has the long body needed to deceive hitters when goes through windup. I have yet to meet the new coach, but have spoken with Lindstrom and Keeney and both have told me good things about him. I'm hoping he can do some good things with this group of kids b/c this is definately the best the team has looked since the 04 season. Downside: Pitching, HF seems to lack the depth at this spot every year. I just don't see how you can expect a lot from 16-18 y/o when asking them to pitch everyday when only rotating between 2 of them, maybe during the season and w/ rest before district play, but when it comes to the playoff(which I strongly believe they can make it this year) playing back to back days w/possible double headers, its going to be interesting to see how they handle it.
