1.
Why do you still use this nickname since you are coaching in Crosby now?  How are the lady Coogs looking?

It's 9;30 PM and "THE HILL IS STILL FOR REAL"  :D :D :D
Yep...and unlike Dayton, will be ALL YEAR LONG. Enjoy the next few weeks of "for realness".  Then its the long wait till September again.   Go Broncos! ;

HillGuy ;D  I should have known. LMFAO
 2. Dang, You got me! THE HILL IS FOR REAL - X2  ;D
 3.
Why thank you  ;). Exactly why would I ever go to the BH fieldhouse for any reason?  I'm sure it's as nice a facility as everything else there. Eagle Point is nice however.
Because Dayton's teams play there about eight or ten times a year.  Are you at the Dayton football game? And thank you for comment about the facilities.  ;)  Good Luck to Dayton's football team hope they win state.
 4.
Don't live in Dayton...from there. There are a lot of parents in town. It's clique not "click." The Hill is for Real. You suck.
Very classy response. Have you ever been to the BH Field House on a Tuesday or Friday night?  A whole lot of parents there. The Hill is For Real
 5.

Since this has turned into a Dayton vs BH trash talking thread I did some research on my three hour lunch break. Last year in district 19-4A  Dayton finished ahead of BH in:  Football BH finished ahead of Dayton in : Basketball Boys & Girls, Track B & G, Tennis (both seasons) B & G, Volleyball,  Softball, Baseball and Cross Country B & G and Golf B & G. I KNOW this is a Football site and you dont care and it shows with the rest of your programs when you compare them to the Hill So continue with this thread and lets try to get to 54 pages because this is all the Dayton fans have on BH and if the day ever comes that BH starts beating Dayton in football this site will be a ghost town of Dayton fans like the other sport sites. Dayton fans continue supporting your football team.  The Hill is For Real
Awesome....the hill is good in other sports where the parents are the only ones to show up and watch the games.  They've been "Real" for quite a while then I guess.
I have been to Dayton basketball, baseball, softball and track meets, they draw a pretty good home crowd.  Must be tough living in Dayton and not and not being in the football " click".  Go and watch some of the other sports they compete well. The Hill is For Real.
 6.
As far as the smack on this thread... It was started by a BH poster. Ask any student in Dayton HS of all the smack the BH students were throwing out before the football game, no different than the adults on this site (like father like son).  Even the BH coaches were talking smack before the game. Leave it to the Dayton Broncos to teach something that Barbers Hill needs a serious lesson in... HUMILITY! Humility is taught in the form of Dayton showing Barbers Hill who runs the town when it comes to the one sport that matters.  FOOTBALL. Pride in your school is great, and the kids from Barbers Hill excel at this (which is a good thing).  But when you start thinking that the world rotates around the Hill, that is when it gets overdone. As one of my Inspired Phrases states... WINNING PRODUCES CONFIDENCE AND LOSING PRODUCES CHARACTER.  A TRUE CHAMPION HAS BOTH CONFIDENCE AND CHARACTER. Everybody hates to lose a contest, but the lessons you learn from a loss may just in fact have more meaning in the long run.
You are correct at Dayton FOOTBALL is the only sports that matters.  I sure hope you are not a coach or teacher at Dayton and all the non playing football athletes read this. ;)

 8.
Im not sure why all the dayton fans are still going on about the massacre? As you can tell smoking baby and BH-98 arent responding anymore cause they have moved on. That was 2 weeks ago. The worst part is that these arent even students posting all this. The parents are? come on this is sad. If thats the only win you care about then you have a long way to go in the season
You have to understand Dayton sports to know all they have is football. Not knocking it they have a great program but its all they have and all their fans can be happy about. The Hill is for Real.
 9.
Mc...buddy09 knew that...he knows the process
I stated I knew the process for getting in.  To be honest I never really thought about it after that.  ;) Again good luck to your team.
 10.
Buddy09,WOSgrad and AggiesAreWE There is a qualification process to play at Southern Nationals so not just anyone can play. I will not sit here and let you belittle something that is important to these kids. This just proves the point that all of the select ball coaches and parrents are trying to make on this thread that care about the kids!!! This tournament is very important to these kids that have been working all year to play in eather ASA Nationals or ASA Southern Nationals. To go to ASA Nat's you need to finish top 3 in State, if not, you are sent to Southern Nat's. That tournament can and will open new doors to future tournaments and college exposure in the future. To downgrade something kids find very important to me shows you are in this forum for the wrong reasons and it is people like you that are a large part of the problem.
Believe me I know the process, place 4th or 44th at State and your in. Good luck to your team and I hope it opens alot of doors for them.
 11. This has been a good thread to read but am I correct in saying we are talking about "Southern Nationals",  "Southern Nationals"  come on  "Southern Nationals". Is this not the tournament for all the teams that did not qualify for the REAL Nationals. Anyone who plays ASA can attend this one. Will not be any coaches watching this one. May be time to start Volleyball practice.
 12. Way to go Ashley,  Congratulations from your Blitz and Shocker family.
 13.
Don't start making excuses already.
No excuses here I don't have a dog in this fight.  I just think GCM will be tough to beat on Kluch field.
 14.

When you find out please post the info or I'll do the same if i hear first.
Monday, 7:00 PM @ Baytown Sterling High School (I do not know who is home or visitor)
GCM will be the "home" team that is for sure.  ;)
 15. Northforest in district 19-4A has a softball team this year for the first time in school history.  My daughters team played them last week and could have scored as many runs as Friendswood did on LaMarque with ease.  Our girls only know one way to play the game and that is wide open and we are trying to be the number 1 ranked team in the state and country.  For those of you that don't know there is a mercy rule in girls softball of 15 runs after 3 innings. We score 15 runs in the first inning going wide open, then our coach informed the umpires that every time we got a runner on base we would leave the base early and he would call our runner out.  Final Score 15-0 in 3 innings.  I do not think NF even knew what was going on.  I know you can not leave the base early in baseball but the Friendswood coach could have done something. Shame on Friendswood and Yates.
 16.
I went to the broncos games way before Jerry Stewart arrived here. We had alot of div.1 prospects in Dayton but just didn't have the coaching. If we had the couching we have now, we would've had a ton of players in div.1 colleges. We had some fine athletes. Just didn't have the coaching. all i can say is that we have it now."a coach that cares about the players and families" thank you Jerry Stewart and your coaching staff
Great post Coach.  :D
 17. Does anyone know how this Yates team did when this years seniors where Freshman and Sophs.  I am sure most of them had to have been on varsity.  How far in the playoffs did Yates go then?
 18. UIL bracket has Ozen winning the game.  Whats up? Who won?
It is great basketball to see the junior high Pony and Eagle basketball teams. Both of these schools have great basketball players from 7th to 10th grade. Future looks bright at both the Hill and Dayton for girls basketball.
Delusions of grandeur  ;)
Barbers Hill almost always does win, but it is competitive. Of course the real deal is high school. Fantastic that Dayton did beat out the Hill in the last district game  ;D Great talent at both schools from 7th to 10 grade.
Now I know what you feel like when our football fans are talking.  ;D
