Dayton At Central Predictions..Game Of The Week
BHFAN replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Dayton proves again this week to be the best team in 22-4A. I can't see anyone close to Dayton this year. Dayton by 21. -
This is one of those games that looking from the outside should be a BH romp!!! But I have been to too many BH/Huffman games to know not to let my guard down. Huffman knows BH very well and will play the Hill alot better than most would think. I was hoping Huffman would be better this year and we both could enter the 4A playoffs, but it looks like Huffman will have to regroup and give it hell next year. BH by 21!!

PNG beat Crosby by a TD and what i read was their was two fumbles by Crosby that lead to two of PNG's TD's. Dayton is showing everyone just how tough your district is BH will get to play a member of you district in 4 weeks and we can see how tough 22 4A is

BHFAN replied to KSHN Radio's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Friday, October 20 Barbers Hill 49 Smiley 14 Derek Hulsey catches 11 yd TD pass Barbers Hill scored early and often as they defeated Houston Smiley by a score of 49-14. The Eagles now sit alone at the top of Distict 21-AAAA with a 4-0 record. BH is also undefeated for the year at 7-0. Barbers Hill will host Huffman-Hargrave next week in a homecoming affair. The Falcons notched their first 4A win by downing Forest Brook 27-25. The Eagles put up 21 first quarter points to set the tone of the game. BH held Smiley after the opening kickoff to 3 quick plays. Joe Sexton then block the Golden Eagles punt which was recovered in the endzone for a touchdown. Nick Coggin, who was perfect on the night, converted the PAT. Defensive end Kyle Cox then grabbed his second interception of the year to set up the Eagles second score. QB Blake Patton hit tight end Derek Hulsey on an 11 yard TD pass to give BH a quick 14-0 lead. The defense once again held the Golden Eagles and forced another punt. This time BH drove down the field and Blake Patton capped the drive with a 1 yard touchdown run. Again Coggin's kick was true and BH lead 21-0. Neither team put up much offense in the second period. Barbers Hill managed to put 7 more points on the board in the quarter. Todd Patton carried the load for much of the drive including a 6 yard touchdown run. In the second half, back up quarterback Chris Bradshaw to the reins. Seeing his first significant playing time, Chris made the most. He guided the Eagles to an early touchdown by following his blocking for a 2 yard TD. Coggin's kick gave BH a commanding 35-0 lead. The last quarter provided lots of fireworks for those who remained in attendance. Smiley put together a drive and scored their first points with about 11 minutes left in the game. Bradshaw then recorded his first touchdown pass of the season by hitting wide receiver Michael Davis for an 11 yard score. The touchdown was set up by a Jamie Griggs interecption. Griggs would then switch sides of the ball to play a little offense for the remainder of the game. Jamie made the most of his opportunity by scampering for a 14 yard TD. Smiley then took the kickoff and drove down the field to score their final points with only 36 ticks of the clock left in the game. The defense once again played supurbly. They recorded 2 interceptions, blocked a punt for a touchdown and recovered a fumble. Though they did give up 228 yards of total offense, a large part of that total came after the game was in hand. District Scores Huffman-Hargrave 27 Forest Brook 25 Crosby 42 Galena Park 20 New Caney 40 C.E. King 37 -

Good job Bronco's!!! We left the BH game before the half because it was getting ugly, to go watch what we thought would be a good game in Dayton. Dayton absolutly dominated this game and looks to be in control of this awesome district to the east Sorry I had to take that shot, but all that we here is how strong this district is and how weak our is. Dayton is cleaning house in that district congrats Broncos!!!! -
Good luck Eagles Seeya in Smiley!!!!

Barbers Hill takes District 21-4A Title
BHFAN replied to bh146's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Congrats to the Girls!!!!! -
No I don't thnik it is tough district I also don't think it is the weakest in the state either. 22 4A is no giant either it is competitive in most years ,but on a state level it falls into the "weak" catagory. Also the district being weak doesn't mean that a team in the district can't be strong, BH IMHO can compete with 22 4A. I didn't say kill 22 4A I just said compete 8)
-
????? Are you refering to an easy first round draw? Because there are no bye weeks!
-
These teams could very possible meet in Round 1! you never know 8)
-
I still can't beleive how well these boys are doing in 4A. At the beginingo fthe year I thought with the talent we had coming back that we could crack the top three and then probally bow out in round one of the playoffs. Now I think these Eagles are very likly to go undefeated and compete in our region!!! Keep on rolling Eagles!!!!
