Can't play but one game before Friday by rule. Can't leave school early to play by rule. Jasper has to play on their graduation day and if it goes to game 3, Hudson will play on theirs. 4 PM start is the benefit of early release that day by both schools.

Just read where only one game can be played before Friday in a series during school. Also it says teams can't be forced to play on graduation day, or day before finals. Heck sounds like they might have to flip to see who wins. ;D

Jasper's series should be an interesting schedule. One team has graduation Friday and the other has graduation Saturday. A Wed., Thur. and Sat. a.m. schedule would allow the ace to pitch twice. Perhaps there was more to Reagen not pitching this past series than meets the eye.

Any team that loses *Brandon Belt is down the next year. Not to mention the SS that went to San. Jac. also.

Reagan's arm is sore and he couldn't go. After seeing Parson and Stephenson, I am not so sure if one is that much better than the other--both solid pitchers. Jasper didn't lose the game because of pitching. They didn't make good contact.

Needville appeared to be a good fundamental team that makes contact in the game I saw them, and their freshman pitcher was impressive too. Had a little zip on the ball.

Got that right. Tough game to watch. Jasper's bats were dead. Bellville pitcher didn't throw very hard but mixed the ball up well, and move it around the edges of the plate. Umpire had a very generous strike zone at times. First time I have seen Jasper play this year, and I have to believe that was just a very down night offensively. Jasper's defense is solid and Bellville's is helter skelter. Should be interesting to see what happens Saturday. Bellville's SS is a good scrappy player, and the Soph. pitcher is a bright spot as well.

Wow. Coach thrown out of a playoff game. That doesn't happen very often.

Carthage is looming out there to prevent the rematch. Sure hope both make it to the finals so we won't have to try half way across east texas to watch them play.

Bagwell was a very good defensive first baseman. ROY and MVP along with his stats will be enough to get him in the Hall. He won't receive near the votes that Biggio does.

Jasper's C.J. Ebarb moved on from Lamar to the Pulaski Blue Jays.

Saw Needville against Tarkington. Very solid, fundamental and well coached team. Pitcher wasn't over powering but throws strikes. BC batters will be a tough challenge for Needville.

Bellville up 4-1 with 2 on and 1 out in the top half of the 4th

Hit and Run base hit by Hicks. Nicely done. Runner moves over to 3rd.

Dishon just misses another homer. Long fly out. 2nd out and 1 on, Hicks up to bat.

11-4 was the score. Horns will try and bounce back tomorrow.

Today at 7:30. unsure of tomorrow.

Stinson (PNG), Elhert (LCM) and Parker (Jasper) are 3 from SE Texas at A&M this year.

Pitchers were all close in the district race. Reagan, Schooling, Stringer. I say the MVP will be CO-MVP and will be Hart and Dishon. Don't have stats but I know they are impressive.

It will be the best pitcher available. Reagen will be saved for BC, but Jasper can't afford to gamble with the race so tight and will put their best foot forward..whoever that is.
