No I didn't. It cost about 15K per year at ETBU 15 years ago when I attended. No clue what it cost now though.

Warren beat Tarkington by 2 and West Hardin beat Tarkington by 11 so I didn't think it is fair to say Warren is way more talented based upon that one observation. I haven't seen Warren to give my opinion though. ____ Someone else mentioned despite Tarkington's past they might make the playoffs this year. Tarkington is not a stranger to the playoffs in basketball. They have been several times in the recent past, but it has been at least 3 years..so they are due.

WH beat Tarkington in the Finals by 13 or so.

I would love to see Liberty Hill win.

I have to agree that Newton's staff is the best.

I felt the same way when Jasper got slapped around by Burnet a few years back now. Bottom line is Burnet was the better TEAM..Jasper had more talent (IMO though Burnet had plenty). WO-S certainly could claim more talent than Giddings, but Giddings played as the better TEAM in that game. I didn't at all see WO-S being 14 points better, as a matter of fact those I were with thought that Giddings could have blown the game open if not for the fumble on the breakaway run by Fitzhenry. I didn't see it that way and predicted WO-S to send it to OT.

One obvious difference this game versus last year was no Beasley. Bevil looked confused with the pressure he faced and isn't near able to create offense like Beasley could. This is why #3 comes in to take snaps from time to time to give WO-S more of a threat at the QB spot. Personally with first and goal I thought #3 should have been taking the snaps.

Glad I made this game, it was a very good and well played game. Both defenses were very solid. Hard to imagine that Giddings could stop all the weapons that WO-S had, but they did. Giddings was able to keep constant pressure on Bevil. WO-S was able to hold Giddings QB in check for the most part, but Giddings wisely utilized the option pitch and dive plays (which rarely gained much) to keep WO-S guessing just enough to make a few scores. WO-S made too many mistakes, way more than they have made all year. Hard to say Giddings caused the mistakes because most of the mistakes were bad snaps. I guess the pressure of the game sometimes causes these things to happen. Giddings has a heck of a team. #11 on defense is a tremendous player. WO-S' Garrett played a heck of a game as did #2 (hated to see him not be able to bring in that last pass because he played such a great game--it was just a couple of inches too high a tad behind him). Thomas was showing off his speed on boths sides of the ball, but Bevil had a hard time hitting him with the deep ball. #24 will be a fun one to watch next year along with Bevil and the rest the Stangs have returning. What grade is #2? Good season once again for the Stangs.

Any State Championship for the area would be great. WO-S has the best shot and Newton is the only other hope IMO.

Marlin is an old nemesis. Good thing it isn't Mart, but Marlin will be a major challenge.

Don't remember his name but Lincoln had a tremendous player their last year as lincoln. Wasn't a big kid but he sure knew how to score.

Biggest upset ever with the way Gilmer has been hyped. Huge upset. Saw last week where Atlanta had beaten LE and now LE bounces back to take down the Goliath.

Not use to seeing a Jasper team getting out ran like they were tonight. Silsbee looked very solid again. GL to the Tigers next week against Splendora.
