I was always told that no one really shows up to watch teams from other areas in the championship games of the host team tournament if the host team or in this case ft.bend district teams are in there to the end then the likelihood of the facility being packed is much greater and so are the benefits for the district so they really try to eliminate the outside teams not as much money to be made if say silsbee played Arlington Bowie in the championship vs any of the ft.bend schools in the championship that is unless all of tiger nation shows up .

Exactly everyone says adjust but that one little ref last night was horrible mike McCain was at the free throw line and asked the ref to please dry the ball off the ref shook his head walked over to dry the ball off then gave mike with a strong gesture I don't know why either some refs or some people don't like silsbee but this is a reason why coach sig doesn't like to play tournaments in this area joe has always had problems with the bisd chapter

I thought the way the refs were calling the game especially the way that one ref was treating silsbee at one point they would not let the tigers touch central I figure that's why silsbee backed down and central was able to score so easy at times

I think the dunks were a result of the atmosphere of the game just like Harris for silsbee running around after the Jordan Adams dunk silsbee really doesn't attempt dunks like that so hopefully lesson learned we got the win make corrections and move on very big game Thursday.

Silsbee played a little out of control at times tonight tigers tried to show out in front of the crowd instead of totally being focused silsbee could have pulled away on different occasions but they allowed things to happen missing free throws and dunks and lay ups central will get plenty of calls at home all the calls allowed central to stay in the game because the tigers could not run like they usually do and blow teams out central played very well but really could not handle the tigers pressure tigers are fortunate to win. Them dam refs that's all I'm going to say.

This is a new era of tiger basketball so we all should come out if possible and back these young me trying to make history at silsbee high and show the other big dog teams across the state that we belong up there with the best also throughout the years silsbee has been out coached had tough breaks and just flat out gotten beat on the road to a state championship but now it's time to win it all it's going to be tough but the tiger are tough and tiger nation will represent win or lose, man I really hope that this is our tigers year to win it all good luck tigers

I was kind of surprised but the tigers had a really good turn out for the WC game in Houston quite a few fans made the trip now San Antonio is a distance but a lot of fans are expecting and hopeful for a state title so the fans may surprise people it will be a huge turnout tonight though better get there early.

Yates lost to Lancaster 58-50 and Dallas Lincoln lost to Houston kincade so the polls will change silsbee may be #1 in the new polls but they don't need that distraction never the less good luck tigers.

Coach sig will have a lot to say about the official and what area they come from they may not be from the Beaumont chapter

Levelland just beat Decatur 82-73 West Brook beat Lakeview centennial 69-45 Lake ridge beat Dallas Samuel 87-58 And a few other very high scoring games not mention are they not teaching defense anymore .

Great season tigers it's been since 1994 since I have seen an awesome running back with all do respect to the other great tiger backs over the years but calvin did something special for Silsbee high good luck to our football team everyone did an awesome job in victory and in defeat I love my tigers again great season thanks.

Why did the ref put more time on the clock and the stopped the clock to allow carthage more time to set up that play , they knew what they were doing

Silsbee wins the first scrimmage against north shore 1st team by 2 got to the game late didn't get the score also silsbee beat north shore 2nd team 31-30 and then Silsbee beat Manvel 31-21 tigers turned up the heat and pulled away great scrimmage tigers.

Just got off the phone with coach Collins they are on the bus now headed to Houston they play at 4:30 I don't know who but the tigers are playing today at 4:30 at north shore high school and yes ozen is nothe playing today

If tarkington upsets wo-'s they might go into the NFL hall of fame

The new Dave Campbell basketball magazine is out on shelves I bought my copy at the new Walmart on hwy 146 they have Silsbee ranked #1 and picked to win the 4a state championship this year I sure hope they are right.

Richmond foster is in the top 10 in 5a check the polls wo-s has the right to brag they are defending state championship and are about to Win another one funny thing is no one has come close to beating them at all look I support Silsbee but I have much respect for wo-'s just stating facts east Texas has some of the best football in the state in my opinion the toughest but to say wo-'s would be mediocre to district 9 4a d1 is a slap in the face.
