It would be a devestating move to play # 12 and rehurt his leg. They need him for the playoffs and he has 2 more great years ahead of him. With spurger in first I dont know what they will do but hope everythig works out for #12. In my opinion rest is best for now the kid has to think about his future (the next 2 years will be his best), and spurger will still be fine. They will only be stronger if he comes back 100%.

SP @ home by 8 I dont think that copeland has enough left in the tank to carry them in this game. And I hope someone tells him this and he takes the challenge. Has SP lost @ home in district or at all.

In that game he had 41 and they still lost. the only other player that had double digits was # 23 10pts. One man cannot make or break a TEAM. Copeland could be so much better in my eyes if he got his team mates involved more. If there is 2 player guarding him someone is open.

This district is weak this year the TALENT level has droped off from past years!!! Personally i dont understand why everyone is mad about some soph player.... Alright this kid is good for THIS DISTRICT!!! plan and simple he can play with these players and teams so i AGREE he is good but for this district he still has alot to learn! The only player in this district right now who can play on almost any level is Copeland and that is the truth!!! But like you said this District is up for grabs and it will be exciting to see who comes out on top this season!! Copeland, Copeland, Copeland, MVP Copeland only had 17 pts. against Spurger, remember this name Soph. Shain Rawls, because he was the one in Copeland face all night. Yes, Copeland is a great player, but he also has things to learn & he's a Senior. And what about Jr. Daniel Blankenship from Spurger who had 33points against WH. Copeland is overrated, he has turned into a big whin bag, don't remember him whinning as much last year as I have seen him do this year & still needs to learn how to play DEFENSE also. Copeland is the best player in this district by far sorry if that makes you mad but its TRUE! So if you were the coach of Spurger or any other team and you are going to play WH what would you do to stop them lets think......... o maby lets throw everything we got at Copeland and double team him all night... You need to understand that Basketball is a 5 man game not 1 man you can expect 1 player to drop 30 pts 10 ast 10 rb when he is getting double and triple teamed all night..... and nobody talked about how overrated and terrible defence Tyler played last yr or the yr he was a soph... (WHEN THIS DISTRICT WAS ACTUALLY FULL OF TALENT) but like i said WH just does not have the Talent or experience like previous years and Copeland has to do everything to keep his team in it and that is the TRUTH When a player gets double teamed he should trust his team and make them better. When I get double teamed my eyes light up and I look for the open man, because that is the best thing for my team. Copeland just puts his head down and goes to work. I would love to see some stats on his assist/game.

HD in a close one. SP is good at home but I think that HD sinces that they need this one and will come to play. SP is getting caught up in the moment and will over look HD. HD by 5

I know that refs tell players that they can not wear arm bands and things... but not all refs enforce that all the time. Refs should enforce this as well as tats (if there is a rule) all the time. Personally I think that if someone wants a tat let them. Who cares it doesnt make them a better or worse player.

Hands down Chase McGallion is the best TRUE point guard in the district. I dont think that there is anyone that can compare. He played point alot last year as a freshmen and started this year. His handles and court vision set him aside as far as being a PG.

I think Evadale gets the upset if you can call it that they are in first looking to stay in the lead of the district. Evadale by 4

If anything being in 1st will give evadale the confedence they need to play with SP they will come ready. Should be the best game of the day. Has anyone heard that Sam Elliot from HD is hurt. I dont know what you mean about the district being not as deep in good players because the youngest whittaker is averaging more blocks and pts than his brother. The kid from SP droped 32pts copeland is copeland and Blankenship had 28 against SP. Everyone has been playing better for evadale. The Talent is there trust me. Elliot can shoot but he doesnt seemed to be the game changer that you say he is but he can shoot. I think there are 2-3 player better than elliot. I would like to see who you would start on a team out of all the player in the district be position. PG ? SG ? SF ? PF ? C ? PG-FELIX JONES (SP) SG-DANIEL BLANKENSHIP (SPURGER) SF-SAM ELLIOTT (HD) PF-TYLER COPELAND (WH) C-GEORGE WHITTAKER (SPURGER) Completely disagree w/ the PG position, Chase McGallion by far has better handles and sees the whole floor better than "ANY" guard in the district. He may only give 10pts. a game, but he will give u double digit-plus in assist per game, w/ little to no TO's. I like this list, but you can give an arguement for the PG spot between Chase or Felix. IF you want defence and some scoring you go with Felix if you want a point to run the offence and get the ball to the other 4 offensive players you go with chase. Other than that the other four are right one the money in my book.

Ill Take... SP By 4... Unless evadale pounds the ball inside and stop SP from driving. Spurger by 15... Post game is to good. HD by 7... If copeland has a good night this one can go either way. Dont know id the shark will get the job done and get back on track or they will be down after the loss to WH.

I know that 1 of the seniors from a year or 2 ago played in that game. How does the rosters get put together? Do the coaches just send someone or what, and what all schools will be featured?

well evadale needs to keep the streak alive against the top teams in the district they havent played SP Spurger or Hull.

SA by 12+ if woodville can keep them from running up and down they could give them trouble.

Hope the shark pull this one out in a really hard place to win. Home court advatage at HW has a whole different meaning and T-Cope can shoot the lights out at home. If the refs are good and call a good game sharks by 5 if not WH by 12. I hope spurger and SP go undefeated until the come to spurger should make for a good game.

It is easy to pick the #1 spot but the next 3-4 are very even, all have played great as of late and in their district opener. The only two player that I can see being able to build a good team around is T-COPE and Wittaker the other top player are good and can light it up or play within a system to help there team. I dont know how you can put 4 SP player in that list Ghostt, but there is 2 good players in #25 and #30

Half of his pts came off free throws. I could line up a 3rd grade kid 20 times on the line and get those #s out of him.
