I agree Hotrodg..I think they are totally capable of beating kirbyville, however, I personally dont think that will happen this year. The coaches and players of kville are getting physically and mentally prepared for this game and will be ready to play come Friday night. CC is a good team and they will have to come to play!!! But I am looking forward to this game..I believe its going to be another good one.

Dont worry..I got smitted also by WOS fans because I thought Kville could hang with them this year..LOL oh well..it doesnt matter. Its all fun! We have to be proud of both of our teams. Kville and Newton played a heck of a game and sorry, but both teams kept us on the edge of our seat all night! Thats what friday night football is all about! I hope that Newton goes far this year as well as kirbyville. By looking at Newtons bracket, I think ya'll will do fine in the playoffs. Well for starters WO-S has won 2 state titles & is the top all-time football winning percentage in the state of Texas. I could go on and on and on but you can find most of this in the Historical section of this board. To say that Giddings was in a down year is a gross miss-statement. Granted, not as good as the 06 team but still very talented with outstanding players such as LB Alan Dock, QB Brock Fitzhenry (tu signee), and DE Spencer Duncan. WO-S fans obviously have quite a bit of pride in the program & this is a Southeast Texas football board so maybe that is why there is a little WO-S talk going on……go figure. Kville fans...do you think we'll have alot of fans there in Woodville this week too? I think so...I heard we would be sitting on the home side so that will be good. The other side was way to small. We had those stand full by 6:45 when we played Woodville!!! I'm just wondering what time we should all get there for that game. Hey Granfan..what time are you arriving to the game on Friday?

I think it was the best game of the year by far. Even the jasper/kirbyville game wasnt this good and that was a GREAT game!!!

OMG..lets just hope not!!! I looked at Texas Prep Insider at CC's past games, and they played Crocket and the score was only 12-7. Now I dont know how much weight to put on that game..but we beat Crocket 39-6. I am hoping by looking at the scores and the teams that CC has beaten, I think Kville will take this game no problem. Dont get me wrong..I do think CC will come ready to play, but so will Kville! We are going for the UNDEFEATED SEASON ;D LETS GO WILDCATS!!!

OK..Newtonjb..for those of us who bought pre-sale tickets and arrived early so we could get a seat in the stands were told to stand at the Home side entrance. We stood there for over an hour, and then someone from the coaching staff said..NO we are to stand at the other gate...so we MOVED...so for those of us who were at the front and who had been there since 4, were at the end of the line...then we were told to MOVE AGAIN!!!! 3 MORE TIMES THIS HAPPENED WE MOVED BACK AND FORTH..I'M SORRY BUT THIS GAME HAS BEEN SCHEDULED FOR A 10 WEEKS NOW AND EVERYONE KNEW THAT IT WAS GOING TO DRAW A CROWD..SO COME ONE..THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE ORGANIZATION OR AT LEAST SOMEONE WHO KNEW WHAT WAS REALLY GOING ON SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE!!! Of course the Newton fans wouldnt of known that because ya'll didnt show up until it was time to play. Kirbyville fans started arriving for the game at 4. And had the stadium packed at 6. With that said, I thought everyone was very nice, very good sportsmanship, and I had a great time..if you would have read all of my previous posts you would have seen that. Oh and btw..I would like to tell you that I have friends that stopped at a convenvience store in NEWTON...just to let you know..and was treated VERY RUDELY because they had on KIRBYVILLE WILDCAT SHIRTS!!! So your comment about Newton not lowering themselves to go out of their way..is very untrue!!!

Hey...they did that mess on purpose..tried to discourage us!!! But didnt work. I just feel sorry for those poor people who had to stand on the fence and down by the concessions. I went down 1 time, and I got dizzy from all the people..they were coming in all directions...Never had that many people in such a small area. I do hope that Kirbyville will continue to follow these kids wherever they go in large numbers. I know we usually have a BIG crowd for such a small town. But, I had a great time, and I'm just glad that I DONT HAVE TO EAT CROW!!!!!! I was sweatin it!!! oh and Grizz..your welcome..Ya'll owe me!!!! Just tell your aunt that she can air brush me a shirt or something..LOL ;D j/k

I'm not trying to take away from your newton boys or anything..BUT...you are forgetting also...that we had 2 key touchdowns that were called back due to HOLDING!!! If not for those HUGE penalty calls..the score would have been in the 50's. Newton did play a great game and I was very worried about the game at first...but then our boys started to play their game. We have an awesome defense that causes plays to happen..just like the interceptions, fumbles etc...even though they may not have caused the QB to fumble..he may have been looking at a defender instead of looking at the ball lol Anyway, I was also VERY disappointed in the Newton FANS, I thought you guys stuck it out win or lose. I was very surprised when the stands started clearing. I think we had just as many there when the game ended as to when the game started. It was very cold. But true fans never leave no matter the weather conditions!!! I'm glad you stuck up for your boys though. They deserved it. When they needed their fans support...it wasn't there..and that's sad. I cant stand to sit in the stands and see a stale crowd..drives me crazy. Why come to a football game if your not going to be the 12th man!!! You gotta help your team out! People don't realize how much that helps the team. When they look up into the stands and see the crowd sitting, not cheering, that's like a slap to their face..but when they look up in the stands and see the crowd on their feet, going crazy, they step it up a notch because its an adrenaline rush to see that! Its an awesome feeling! I just hope next time your fans will hang around until the end. Newton has an awesome team and they should be proud of them.
