Anyone who has seen Pearland play, how good are they?

I apologize if I offended anyone on this board. Huffman had PLENTY of opportunities to put this game away, more so than Silsbee. The two fumbles in the third killed them. I am sure that Silsbee had mental errors during the game, but Huffman, I am also sure did not play a perfect game either. I just get tired of everybody saying the reason that the game was close was because of Silsbee's mistakes. I have seen Huffman play and I have seen Silsbee play and they both gave each other a great game. Huffman's running game lived up to its billing and Silsbee passing game was the difference. I think that the wind played a big factor. Maybe Silsbee would have been able to throw the ball better, maybe Huffman could have gotten another score in the third. Hickman new in the 4th that Huffman could not throw the ball into the wind and packed people in the box. Huffman was unable to switch the field position and it cost them on the last drive. BOTH teams deserve credit, not EXCUSES! Silsbee's Coaches are class acts, we can agree on something!

You know it is disheartening for someone to come on here and say that Silsbee must have played bad, that is the only way the game was close. How about the fact that Huffman had two fumbles in the 3rd quarter with the wind that cost them the game? They had their best offensive linemen get hurt in the 3rd quarter and lost a starting safety in the 4th? No one mentions that at all because most of you have no idea, you see a box score and it automatically makes you an authority on the game. Silsbee is a good football team, but so is Huffman. For anyone to get on this board and say otherwise makes you and IDIOT! If you want to know a little about Huffman, talk to the HC and DC of Silsbee. I believe he said, "the most physical football team he has played all season."

BHFAN Go sit down and speak with Mr. Price......I think your views will change or at least you'll see a real coaches side of WHY they are in the profession. You saying that high school athletics is only about winning: nothing more/nothing less is not accurate....that's the only way I know to put it wihtout being rude. After youv'e spoken to people like Price at BH (no state championships) or Neumann at Nederland (no state championships). If WINNING is EVERYTHING....why are these coaches still around? They've been at these schools for more than enough time to produce a state championship. BH has been to the playoffs 33 times in it's history, but never won the title. Nederland has been 29 times, but never won the title. SO, my question, BHFAN, should coaches liek NEumann and Price be fired because they can't win the big game? If your answer is yes, then why hasn't this been done in the multiple years they've lead both of these programs. If you're answer is NO, please explain why these coaches are still employed at their respective schools...

I did not think it was three starters. I hope that it is not true. Sad to see young men put/get into bad situations like that. I am not saying they are innocent or guilty, just that it is very sad!

I don't understand why someone would get on here and bash these two teams like this. For one, the guy at Shepard is about to lose his job which also means his livelyhood. Second the guy at Liberty is a new HC and just learning the ropes. FINALLY, you are putting down kids. If you don't have any interest in the game, then don't post anything. NEVER put down a coach, or be malicious toward a kid.

Can't we all just get along? I am going to say speed kills, Coldspring by 10. Splendora will have a tough time stopping the speed of Coldspring and Coldspring will EAT the clock. Final score, and don't laugh, Coldspring 17 Splendora 7.

For a school that has a ton of talent they seem to be underacheiving? Weren't they 10-0 a couple of years ago? I tihnk it was North Shore they played in the first round when Bobby Reid was the QB.
