The post was less about HD and more about Tarkington’s improvement. Didn’t matter who they played the past couple years, they got embarrassed.

Watched the Tarkington-Hull Daisetta scrimmage tonight. First look at the new Longhorns. New offensive and defensive schemes, lots of passing by the Horns offense. Scored each time they touched the ball. HD was not able to move the ball much against our defense. Very impressed by this coaching staff, they have given these boys the confidence they lacked the past few years. Definitely not gonna be the Tarkington everyone is used to seeing.

Hoping for some improvement at least for Tarkington, for sure can’t do worse.

Ahhh the age old question, is the coach or the players? Seems to me the actual answer is somewhere in between…

We are hoping so! It’s a s**t show over here. On the plus side, Coach Howard is doing great things so far. Our boys are putting in work this summer.

Thanks for the info. Seems pretty solid, my sister in law knows them, said they are really great people.

Maybe not, he’s definitely got his work cut out for him. Good luck Coach.

It’s official. Vindicator posted it on FB. Coaches/People in the know, what can we expect?

Didn’t necessarily say that. It’s probably gonna take a mix of several different styles to make it work. just saying it’s gonna be nice to see someone trying something different because the 4 running plays we ran all year definitely didn’t work.

It will be interesting to see a different style of play here. One that fits our talent base better.

That’s interesting. All bets are off with a new coach as to who’s gonna play where. Briggs started the Jasper game last season. Showed some ability, looked like he was a little scared to let it rip but I’m sure coaching can fix that.
