  1. Orangefield is going to be hurt by a weak non-district schedule here. I feel because of their non-district schedule they have not seen anyone close to Silsbee and this is why I have Silsbee by 25+ unless OF sits on the ball. Don't think they have the guard play to sit on it for 32 minutes with the amount of pressure Silsbee is going to bring.
  2. This should be a great game and if there is a Game of the Week I would think this is the one. HJ has looked good this season and HF has shown signs of greatness at times. Questions is which HF team will show up. I've see both teams play and to me HJ is the more consistent team offensively and defensively that being said this is still a pickem game. HJ being at home it is hard for me to pick against them, however I just think HF is going to get the win by 2 pts. What does everyone else have?
  3. A lot of talented teams around our area. Some are starting to play better and some are declining IMO. Here are my top tier by class to make noise when it matters, which is the playoffs. 1A is really down 2A Evadale (Tougher schedule than Silsbee considering they're a 2A) & West Hardin 3A East Chambers under Coach Sutherland will always get better 4A this is interesting. Silsbee is Top of the Crop, HJ a close second and HF is definitely in the mix. Huffman and LCM may get by the first round. 5A BU, BU and BU. Nederland is well coached as always but not on their level. I did like Lufkin and La Porte at the HJ Tournament. 6A Westbrook is getting better every week. They will give people head aches.
  4. I'm sure Mitchell is a great guy and an acquired taste just hard for me to watch sometimes. I get to watch Coach English regularly so I am spoiled. I plan on being at the HJ Tourney starting tomorrow so I'll get to see some of the teams you mentioned above.
  5. This is a must see for me. I think the young Tigers can upset IF and that's a BIG ALL CAPS IF they hit their 3's. Either way great game to watch, I'll have my bag of pop corn.
  6. @The Natural is spot on. I was able to watch a lot of the Nederland Tourney and thought that HF at times could play with anyone but they have to become more consistent (they have the pieces). Saw HJ play Nederland at HJ and thought they are for sure a top 10 team in 4A, they're just missing a true big. Silsbee can be beat but I would give them the edge over both HJ & HF. Their strength of schedule is unmatched and will have them battle tested more than anyone. Lumberton has the same screamer on the sideline that does more yelling than coaching and with no D1 kid it's a toss up who finishes 4th between Lumberton and WOS. WOS is very undisciplined compared to years past with kids walking off the court and cussing the coach out. It was embarrassing to watch the coach at the Nederland Tournament deal with his big kids the way he had to. HJ and HF will have battles for the district titles this year. Silsbee, LCM, OF and toss up for fourth in my opinion comes out of District 22-4A this year. There is still a lot of ball to be played and a lot of things that can be fixed or broken.
