1. One correction and one addition.  Tim Erickson was drafted by the Mets, not the RANGERS.  Jesse Cooksey was drafted by Boston.
2. I'll take The Woodlands Christian Academy.
3. You can try maxpreps.com  Not all schools use this site but some do.
4.

I just heard he got an offer he couldn't refuse. Would make more sense.
Well, if you are a Godfather fan like I am, you could take that "offer he couldn't refuse" in a couple of ways. ;)
Watch out for a horse head in the bed!!! ;D
5. Actually, a kid wearing a rubber bracelet should be tossed from the game.  Jewelry of any kind is not allowed.  According to this post the Kelly baseball team was warned, then a player was tossed.  The only poor judgement in this case was from the players that did not follow the rules or the warning from the umpire.
6. The Woodlands Christian won the game 7-2.
7. Silsbee and WOS will battle for the district championship.
8.
If the coach leaves him in past 90 it's abuse.  If the kid hasn't made a showing by 90 he needs to be replaced.  If the parent doesn't stop it, then they have no right to complain.  $$'s in surgeons pockets . . . ruined dreams.  The medical centers are full of promising baseball prospects.
Abuse?  How can this be considered abuse?
9. So, some of you are saying that it's OK to throw 165 pitches as long as it's late in the season and the game has some meaning to it?  What's the difference in early or late season if the pitcher is in proper shape?  Why does it matter if the game has meaning to it?  If you are truly concerned with the player, it won't matter when the game is played or if it has meaning or not!!!  Like others have said on this thread, most of you are caught up with the number of pitches instead of the quality of pitches.  PITCH COUNTS are a guide.  Not something written in stone.
10. The 3 guarantees in life: 1. Death 2. Taxes 3. Rain at the beginning of baseball season
11. This is sad.  This man is a prisoner of alcohol and drugs.  If he wants to have a beer with his meal, he can't because it could trigger his addiction and he may not be able to stop.  Or worse, it could lead to drug abuse.  It's hard for me to understand how this happens.  I guess I don't truly understand addiction.
12. Dang, another bump in the road for the RANGERS and their chances of getting back to the World Series.  I really wish these National League teams could keep their best hitters away from American League teams.
13. I would love to hear that conversation!!!
14. Just read on the ESPN website that the angels did indeed sign C. J. Wilson as well as pujols.  :-\
15. I see what you are saying about Maxpreps.  I looked up all 6 teams on the Maxpreps site and only 4 teams had stats posted. (Hamshire-Fannett and WOS didn't have their stats listed)  Something else that I didn't like about Maxpreps was the fact that I couldn't find a way to see only the district stats.
16. Not exactly what us RANGERS fans were wanting to hear.  Looks like TEXAS is going to lose C. J. Wilson and now pujols signs with the angels.  Going to be a tough season!!!  >:(
17.
I am also curious on the selection process. I spoke with several HJ players this past weekend. They said that several of the boys chosen never played, or played very little, the positions in which they made all-district. They also said that one of their players led the district in total tackles for 9 weeks but yet was never mentioned. If true, how does this work?
I don't know if this will answer all of your questions but 21-3A doesn't play district football for 9 weeks.  There are 6 teams in the district, therefore each team plays 5 district games.  The only stats that count are the stats recorded in the district games.
18. Sounds like stevenash knows more than the rest of us.
19. These things are pretty cool.  Saw one in action about 4 years ago while watching Baylor hold a practice.  You can program it to do just about anything.  With that being said, it cost way too much money for your typical high school program.  If your school district has the money to blow and you have 3 teams with 20 or more players than I say go get one.  However, most coaches can do the same thing the Fungo man can do with a $30-$60 fungo bat.  If it were up to me I would rather spend the money else where.
20. Thanks for the info guys.  What is the best ammo to shoot that isn't too expensive?
21.

I'm not a huge gun guy so I don't know the in's and out's.  I just enjoy firing off a few rounds when I get the chance.  I bought it in 2001 so I'm assuming that it would be considered fairly modern.
The M&P came out in 2005 so it isn't one of them. Is it a polymer/plastic frame like a Glock or an all metal gun? Any of them should be feeding most ammo okay but the polymer Sigma is not the most reliable thing on the market. Do you know what kind of ammo you used? If it didn't feed into a Beretta correctly then it is probably just the ammo.
My gun has a plastic frame.  I can't remember the exact name of the ammo.  Monarch, i think.  I went through mine pretty quickly so my uncle let me shoot some of his.  I had never heard of the name brand before.  He told me they were just a cheap shell.  Hopefully the problem is in the shells not the gun.
