  1. I have been a high school coach for many years and have been in good programs and not so good programs, but the one point that is totally overlooked when discussing football programs is enrollment. Lumberton and LCM has been the smallest school in the district and struggled to find sucess, while Nederland, PNG and Vidor are the larger school and are usually the front runners.   When a school like a Nederland has about 2000 students to draw from and Lumberton has about 1,000 the odds are Nederland will have a significantly better pool of talent to draw from.   So the Coach gets the blame and in Coach Cradeur's situation, it is way off the mark. He is a fine man and a great coach, in a tough situation.  He has done a great job at Lumberton and they will miss him. I wish him the best.
  2. Congrats to Josh and Good Luck, I wish OF the best, even though he was not my favorite, he is a good coach and will do a good job.   But to address the point of loyalty: sometimes leaving, when you are on staff and applied for the AD job and don't get it, is the thing to do for the good of the program. Staying is often a difficult situation for a new AD, especially when there are guys on the staff that believe they were the best guys for the position. It is almost standard operating procedures to leave if you don't get the job, not out of bitterness but to be fair to the new ad and the situation.     Sometimes Coaches have been at the school for a long time and don't feel like they can leave for personal or family reasons, but don't question a coaches' loyality just because they happen to leave after not getting the job.
  3. AS LONG AS THEY WEAR CHUCK T'S TO COACH IN IT WILL BE A GOOD HIRE!
  4. Most coaches vote for all district by merit of which player hurt them in that one game, not on stats. So if a reciever from school A had a big influence in the game vs Team B, then team b's coach would usually vote for that rec.. Regardless of what his stats were. Most of the all district teams are too watered down, usually because kids tie and instead of doing a tiebreaker, the district leaves all of the kids who tie on the all district team. so you may have 3 centers on the 1st team and 2 on the 2nd team.
  5. In regards to the LCM program, no doubt this is a large and very talented senior class, and they will be missed. These seniors have a lot to be proud of. but.... The program is not going to have a big drop off. The JV and freshman are both 6-3 and have lost some close games, but the biggest factor is that they are buying in to the program and will get better. Starters returning next year: Offense   Everyone returns on the oline except the Left Tackle .   Have 3or 4 recievers back, losing a great one.   2 of the 3 RB's that rotate are back including the fastest one.   And of Course the QB is gone. Defense  is returning 1 Tackle, 1 End, All Linebackers and 2 Secondary, a little harder hit than the offense in numbers. So don't expect a return to the pre-Crouch days when LCM was a patsy.  They will be even more hardnosed, and disciplined after another year in the program. How that affects the W/L record is conjecture, how it affects the play of the Bears will be a result of the off-season and dedication to the program.

[b][/quote]Stopped LCM's O ? lets see didn't Central and PNG beat Da Bears ? Ummm Yep they did. So I would say that obviously 2 teams have stopped LCM's O this season. Just had to put it all in check. I am pulling for the Bears in this game. I think LCM does have a very potent O, I give that advantage to the bears in this one, D is a push on both sides of the ball. 8. when there is a 2 way tie it goes to who one the game. When 3 or more it goes to point spread in the games between the teams involved (but the most pts. u can have is +16 for a game. ex: team 1  beat team 2 by 12 and lost to team 3 by 7 that would give them a plus 5 pts. team 2  lost to team 1 by 12 and beat team 3 by 9 that would give them a minus 3 team 3 beat team 1 by 7 and lost to team 3 by 9 would give them a minus 2. so by tiebreaker.Team 1 would be in first place in the tiebreacker team 3 would be in 2nd place for the tiebreaker and team 2 would be the last place for the tiebreaker. this only involves the teams that are tied .
