Our Oline averages 290 lbs, our defensive front 7 is one of the best in the Houston area 5A. That’s where most games are decided. I will be curious to see if the Coogs can air it out or get outside which the only way they have a chance against BH this year. Not too many people running up the middle. DB’s are questionable, but that’s almost every year. Front 7 gets on QB’s and makes you throw before you want to. Should be a good game.

I was just saying that cause you was given the United folks the business about scheduling 6A teams instead of PNG. PNG is usually one of the more competitive Houston/Golden Triangle Area 5A schools, although they lack overall team speed, they’ll punch you in the mouth. And I get Ozen was 5A, I think the bigger complaint is with school district more so then the coaches at the school. I’ve never coached HS football, but I assume there is a budget, and neither one of us knows what that is. So for local competition, I would say that’s a good pick especially what they make in gate fees due to the PNG following.

Lol, I was flipping back and forth between BH game and Cita/Katy on tv. The BH game looked like slow motion compared to the Cita/Katy game. Got me thinking, BH should be smart and build a second HS before having to go to 6A. I’m being serious too.

BH should dismantle Sterling to the tune of last years score. BH looking pretty good right now.

The list of good head coaches any Beaumont HS football team has had since the 80’s can be counted on one hand. Local politics has driven the school district into the ground academically and athletically (besides basketball). It’s severally changed in last 30 years since I graduated from BISD. The kids and tax payers deserve better. Hopefully, next realignment is gentle with WB and United.

This was horrible. It could’ve been a lot worse. Not sure what BH gets out of this game besides some kids lower on the depth chart getting playing time. Took care of business Montgomery RB and WR #1 were good, the rest looked like a JV team.
