  3. The halfway point is basically Katy or north of there around Cypress.
  4. My prediction didn't work out. Lol You've seen plenty of 4th seeds. Honest opinion of them?
  5. Cant win the derby with a mule
  6. No sir we have not underestimated the HOF coaches. Thats why we have such high standards. Standards that weren’t match by the hiring process. Toby's been running the same style as WOS and is having success with it. Its hard going up against Aledo in the 1st round without the talent we have. But he is not just some dude that played here. And he's not someone who apparently thought it better to institute new everything. On a whim his first year staff knew more than the previous one. Whether or not he would've won the trophys his first year, we don't know. We do know he would've continued the traditions we have grown accustomed to. And had more community support. And kept the kids in our district. If we had made the wrong choice, we'd own it. Will they? I heard the post game interview. Aww shucks things happen. You know Come on man. You know it's not over. Don't lie to yourself thinking BC gonna get us one of these days.
  7. I had someone tell the same thing yesterday before the game. No I couldn't have any better than anyone. Lol but there are/were fans in the stands and fellow classmates and alumni that could have. The comments earlier in this thread about the former WOS players on staff is laffable too. More in them later.
  8. I said good losses because I saw it earlier too. Those were not good losses. Some were bad losses because of the events leading to the losses. On paper it looks like we lost to great teams. Yes, can't take anything away from the quality of those teams. Each deserves all the accolades they've achieved and will continue to have success in the playoffs. It's how we lost those games. So close and in every game. If not for undisciplined penalties, failing to get a play called in time, not using our talent to their capabilities, losing players almost on a weekly basis. All effects of one thing 🤔
  9. It's awfully funny that we've been laughed at by the same broadcaster that called all those championship games from the booth at at&t. Bellville stopped themselves as much as we stopped them. And we stopped ourselves more than they stopped us. We were one play away from knocking off a top ranked region favorite. Moody was 8-28 from 2005-2008. Had to look it up to remember who you were talking about. Not an acceptable comparison.
  10. He saw more than a few of them already this season. They focused on the favorite to win district instead of PNG. And lost to both. I hope every team we lost to wins the championship. I always do. But usually that's actually possible. I'm rooting for PNG - 5A D2 Newton - 3A D2 Bellville, HF, and Silsbee? If 3 of those schools win the championship, our season won't seem as bad. Good losses? Never. CT loved losing early to expose weaknesses. CT would say we've had some suspects on the sidelines
  11. No. Im telling you there are other coaches that could make a similar turn around here. Our program isn't nowhere near the position LCM was in under Crouch. We made a u turn this season with a bad hire. A good hire could see instant success. Always talent here and coming up in the future. Coaching, facilities, talent, community support, are all required for success. We only had 50% of that this season. And a sub .500 record to go along with that.
  12. Not a chance. Listen carefully... well be back to state before you. I know it's hard to understand. We've been struggling to figure it out too. How could a new coach come in and make such a change so fast? Sounds familiar to what happend for LCM when they made a great hiring decision. Only difference is which direction you were led. Lead, follow, or get out of the way
  13. That was our significant win of the season. But there were actually no winners of that game in BC. We both found out the hype was just that. Now we out with 1st round losses. Smh The single biggest "take away" from that game. KoGT's player of the week. Week Two – Keyshawn Robinson, WOS vs LCM, Sept. 1
  14. Yea that wasn't really direct so much at you. But this brings up something more for our discussion. How would you have us approach this? We're still new to this coaching change thing.
  15. Shhh... don't tell nobody. That numbers gonna change I've heard they know why
  16. I don't want these kids to learn that a job would be handed to you without consequences for disappointing reaults. Its all about the expectations based on the returning talent and a "current" staff member taking over. Current usually means business as usual. I could give numerous examples. Why the sudden drop? I heard the sideline to sideline guys early on predict us to play Carthage in Dallas. Then they came to town after the lcm classic. Saw png and said we were down. Hinted that we were out coached by the first year png staff. Even picked us to beat Jasper later in the year. Another first year staff that got the Win against us. Then, this week, they said... we have no play makers. I'm sorry. Excuse me. Now it's the kids. When the coaching makes the kids look bad, it's a failure. What game was it that AggiesAreWe said we lost on the sideline? What game was it that Gary Stelly was giggling about us not getting a play called in after a TO? Coaching... don't need 7 years to figure it out here. 7 games and we knew.
  17. Thanks BG we appreciate it
  18. That's where it all starts
