It’s up to coach Barrow now. Put players in with heart and keep the program to were it’s been for 20 plus years, or keep down this road and people will be calling for a change. You can’t be afraid to hurt feelings. That’s why I love football. Many life lessons can be taught to these young men besides X’s and O’s.

That’s exactly what I see. Plenty of talent no doubt.

Just not the same Nederland.

I would like to see #1 run the ball when he needs to. He threw the ball well last week. When he decides to keep a few of those read options or takes off on pass plays that aren’t open, it will open our offense up a bit more. Go dogs!

The dogs have talent no doubt. I have seen Nederland take down teams with way more talent in years past because they were disciplined. That’s something I feel this team is lacking. Maybe it’s just different times but I have a hard time believing CT at WOS would let things like going through the motions during pre-game and talking to cheerleaders in the middle of the game fly. The little things add up and when you can’t practice and stay focused the right way, you’re gonna have silly penalties and frustrating mistakes when it’s game time. Really hope you guys can turn it around because you really have some good talent. Go dogs!

Nederlands D was not good last night. We’ve given up 99 points in three games. I just think we are so much better than what we’ve shown so far. Might be time to make a few changes. If we don’t we may win a few but come playoff time we will probably go home early. That’s if we even make the playoffs this year.

From what I’ve seen our run blocking is a lot better than our pass blocking but that’s just my opinion. We ran the the ball pretty good against WOS. I would like to see the numbers after one of our RBs gets 20-25 carries.

Just run the football and only throw 10-15 times a game. I don’t see us going 2-8 but you never know lol.

Both teams have talent. Nederland has as much talent on offense as any other Nederland team in the past, especially at RB. Defensively if they can just line up right and stay with their assignments they will be fine. O-line needs improvement. I’ve seen huge holes for our RB’s at times and bad pass blocking at times. QB play is what is gonna make this offense really good or what we saw this past week at United.

I’m taking WOS in this game.

I saw a few things I didn’t like in Thursday nights game. I think most of it is fixable by our coaches. That includes hustling until the whistle blows or hitting people late out of bounds which happened a ton last year and has already happened in both games this year. If we can’t hustle or play the game the right way I believe it’s our coaches responsibility to take care of it. The little things in this game and in life can make a big difference in how things turn out.

I believe WOS is much improved this year especially at the QB position. The most impressive thing I saw from them was their heart. For the dogs I believe they will continue to get better as the season goes on. Staying healthy is always been key for Nederland. If QB play and tackling improves I think the dogs can have a real good year. Their running game was good and will get better. I feel like they were getting a little over 5 yards a carry against a pretty good defense. Hopefully WOS is on the schedule next year!
