The website is [Hidden Content] .The 15 YO's play this weekend in Lake Jackson. 13 and 14 YO's play next weekend in Nederland. The 13 YO's will play at the NBR facility on Park Drive in Nederland and the 14 YO's will play at Nederland High School. Should be some good baseball. Come out and support our local players as they compete and try to advance to the Regional Tournaments in Arkansas.
  8. Let me apologize for this....He came to me a couple of weeks ago and asked if the game could be changed. I just assumed that PNG graduation and Nederland graduation were held the same week...not the case. He came to me Thursday and asked if the game could be rescheduled....I told him it snuck up on me and I would call both managers and see what I could do. Turns out it was too late as the graduation was on Friday...once again...my mistake and I apologize....I am all about working around school functions when possible. But I'm glad he was able to play a little then go to Bro's graduation. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to talk further about this. RR
  9. Let me say that I am elated that this 13 y.o. player decided to stay in the league. He is a great player and an asset to his team and this league. Thanks for making the right decision!!!
  10. Nederland Youth Football Association has about 15 sets of wooden bleachers that we are going to give away to any area youth sports league who needs them. They will fit easily onto a roll-back wrecker for transport. The bleachers are various sizes ranging from three tier to eight tier sets. Some need only to be repainted...some may need a few boards replaced, but the metal structures are in very good condition. Most of them are on skids. If you are interested in seeing them or want them, please contact Randy Rice at 409-718-1563 or e-mail at [email protected].

  12. NBR is drafting all new teams this year in the 14-15 Division. The all-star selection, draft, coach and manager selection procedures have all been revised since last year...should be a much better experience.
  13. Registration for Nederland Babe Ruth Fall Ball will be held Saturday August 23rd and Saturday September 6th from 10am-1pm at the ballpark located at 3300 Park Drive in Nederland. The fall season will run from September 20th to October 18th with all games being played on Saturdays only. Registration fee is $50.00 per player. Coaches and volunteers are also needed for the fall season. For more information contact Randy Rice at 409-718-1563 or e-mail at [email protected].
  14. There is not another Babe Ruth league in this area...that is why kids from all over Jefferson County and beyond are allowed to play here. Spread the word...we would love for more kids from other areas to come to our league.
  15. The fallball program at NBR is geared toward teaching kids transitioning from Little League to Babe Ruth the new rule changes they will see in Babe Ruth in the spring. It is a very non-competitive laid back learning environment. The cost to play is minimal and the player usually receives a t-shirt jersey and a NBR ball cap. Because the cost is so low, the league operates during fallball on a minimal budget...sometimes volunteer umpires and no lights to reduce operating expenses. For this reason they only play on Saturdays and only during daylight hours so they don't have to turn on lights. I would recommend any player that just finished Little League and who might be thinking about playing Babe Ruth in the spring to look for registration dates for NBR fall ball. The kids have a great time and the parents enjoy the laid back environment as well. This is how youth baseball should be...FUN and educational.
