Nederland Babe Ruth will host is second annual Open Tournament March 21-23.  The tournament is open to ANY 13U or 14U team.  We play on a regulation 60/90 diamond.  This tournament is a fundraiser event for our local league and is not sanctioned by or affiliated with any national tournament organization.  There is NO GATE FEE for this tournament.  Entry fee is $325 and must be paid in advance to secure your spot.  Team insurance is required of any team wishing to enter.  We are only taking 7 teams for this tournament.  If you are interested in entering your team, please send an email request ASAP to [email protected] or contact Randy Rice at 409-293-1991.  View or website at [Hidden Content]

McKillip was dismissed from the school and team last week.

Normal starters are as follows: D. Faulk - P - Sr.- Bridge City (Marion Military Academy, AL) S. Finn - C - Jr. - Port Neches D. Swisher - 1B - Sr. - Beaumont H. Sims - 2B - So. - Beaumont J. Rice - 3B - Sr. - Nederland T. Brimberry - SS - Sr. - HJ C. Carr - OF - Sr. - Beaumont K. Walker - OF - Jr. - HJ T. Fobbs - OF - Jr. - Beaumont Most of these guys play multiple positions... Depending on who is pitching determines where these guys will play on any given day... But this is their #1 lineup.

Legacy wins 3-0... outright district winner and they secure home field during first round of playoffs... WAR-BALL!!!!

Legacy Senior Blake McKillip hit one out at Lamar University Vincent-Beck Stadium tonight.  His first out of the park homer this season... also had an in the park homer against Galveston O'Connell a few weeks back.

Legacy Christian Junior Skylar Finn hit two homeruns today... #1 and #2 on the season.

Legacy beats Logos Prep 14-0 in 5 innings.  Junior Skylar Finn hit two homeruns.

Today were the losers bracket games, semifinal game and championship game.  The Gulf Coast Storm 14U defeated the SETX Renegades 13U by a score of 4-3.  It was a very good game and was well played by both teams. [center][b]Chris Fackler / "War-Ball" Baseball Camps Saturday April 6 Camp Time / 2pm - 5pm Cost: $55 7yr olds - 8th graders Will cover hitting, fielding, pitching, catchers, outfielders, infielders, proper throwing mechanics and much, much, more... All the campers need is glove, cap, shorts, or wear baseball uniform. Parents may drop off their son and return at the end of camp. ALL Kids in uniforms will be allowed on the field for the National Anthem as well as spend time with the players after the game on the field. Its a fun day for not only the kids who attend but for us as a team to build relationships with our young Baseball 'Warriors' on campus. You do NOT have to be a current baseball player to participate in the activities, we want to see our LCA Youth at the ballgame.[/b][/center]
