Formerly GTB/Hitters Inc Blue 9U is forming a new 10U team. We are coming off of a very successful season that included 4 tournament wins, 4th place in State and 5th place in National Tournament. We are looking for 2 players that are capable at playing at the Elite level. Our program is built on good attitudes, discipline and most of all teamwork. they're gonna do a double header? haven't heard of that in the last several years. better hope the rain holds out. i know quite a few years ago they had to shorten a tournament to single elimination due to weather. i wouldn't put it past b.c. considering they are running the tourney. BC is not running the tourney. They are hosting it. District 32 is running the tournament and makes all decisions about games, etc.

They played a very good tournament in all aspects of the game, including only allowing 1 run the entire tournament. Response from Little League this morning........ Little League Baseball & Softball’s statement regarding the UIL’s cancellation of games is as follows: The Texas State Department of Health Services has not specifically recommended postponing any activities such as Little League Baseball or Softball. Therefore, at this time we are not suspending any Little League activities. We will continue to follow up on this situation as more information is received from the Texas State Department of Health Services.

I would like to congratulate the GTB Hitters Inc 9U boys for their win this past weekend. This is their second tournament win to go along with their 2 second places, and 1 third place in the 5 tournaments that they have played. They have been working very hard. These boys are from all over the southeast Texas area and will respresent our area well no matter where they play. Players include: Case Babino, Kyler Bertrand, Blade Broussard, Chad Dallas, Cade Delarosa, Brett Fregia, Holden Lane, Michael Lee, Jacob Rainey and Schuyler Thibodaux. These boys are a coach's dream and play very well together. You need to come see them play.

I dont think concessions have to be made. Leagues just have to realize that Little League/Pony are the not only games in town anymore. Even Little League International recognizes this. With last years rule change, Little League now allows a All-Star to play in a competing league tournaments/games while the All-Star tournament is going on. The league cannot give an ultimatum to play league ball or select ball. If the league does that, they will lose. We have seen that.

GTB Hitters, Inc will hold a tryout for its 9U Red team on Saturday January 10th at 3:00PM. Check-in will be at Hitters, Inc, which are the batting cages behind Bridge City Little League. Problem with playing both is your points will be spread out between Nations and USSSA, which will hurt your ranking for State and World Series play.
