I am hearing that Lumberton Red is deadly this season. Tons of speed for a Lumberton team. Coming off an 0-8 season with the same coaching staff but lots of 9 year old help in skill positions and a returning line. Boasting they have 4 of the fastest 10 kids in junior football period. Glad HJ doesn’t play in the STJFL. We will sit back and watch this small school season play out. Should be lots of fun. I bet WOS, Jasper, Beaumont, and PA have something to say about all the speed and that line.

Truth is both towns had teams ask for earlier games including PNG flag teams cancelling mid week leaving Lumberton's president scrambling to find his kids games to play. PNG wanted to join the school's Homecoming refusing to play late games and Lumberton was very accommodating. If the PNG coaches and board didn't related the proper game times then it is not Lumberton's fault. The coach that was kicked out was warned at the coaches meeting with us all that cursing on the sideline will not be tolerated. The ref heard him say the F word.

Sounds like a man that has to live out his dreams through other people's kids because his kids weren't good enough to make them come true. I will be there on Saturday. PS- That coach speak is weak. Let's give all our opponents credit and play down our kids. A coach that is proud of his kids would let everyone know he plans on winning by 20 points.

Grundy, you made the safe Super Bowl pics. I like to make it interesting is why I picked the all upset Super Bowl. Going chalk is boring but usually the right way to go. That is why it is called chalk. I can see Bmt-W getting upset before the Bmt-B because Lum-R is just lucky to be here and been lucky all season. PTA seems to have a better functioning offense than earlier in the season. Maybe their athlete will show up and win another one.

Well my winners came in but my scores were just a hair off. PTA vs Lum-W was not as high scoring as I thought. Both defenses showed up this week. Lum-R vs PNG-W was high scoring but the defenses showed up very little there also. Next: Upset city- PTA over Bmt B . Lum-R over Bmt-W Super Bowl rematch of Week 2 Shoot Out opponents PTA and Lum-R. The PNG-P coach had a huge task in explaining to his boys what happened. They played a great game Saturday. He deserves much credit. The board refused to watch the video at the playoff meeting and the ethics committee did get involved. In the end PNG-P coaches and players deserve much respect for doing what is right by the kids. Hard lesson learned by many yesterday. Both teams deserved a shot after that highlight reel filled game. Good luck to all who moved on.

New predictions: Lum-R over PNG-W 40-27 Lum-R has too much Offense but Defense is still suspect. PTA over Lum-W 32-26 PTA has too much speed on the edge. The Lum-W MLB is great if you run in the middle but not enough speed to reach the edge. PTA will reach the edge every chance they get.

The PNG-P coach watched the video tonight and realized there was an error in score keeping so he conceded the victory to Lum-R. This puts Lum-R in as the #2 Seed over PTA. 1. Bmt-B (Better record and beat Bmt-W) 2. Bmt-W (Won their Division) 3. Lum-W (Better Record #2 in Division behind Bmt-W) 4. Lum-R (Beat PTA lost to Bmt-B) 5. PT-A (Better record than PNG-W) 6. PNG-W (Beat Vidor in Division) Congrats to the Lum-R Senior Team and Good Luck to All. Thank You STJFL for doing the right thing by those kids. It was a tough defeat either way for one team.

I am glad I had my own glory days, that way my kids get their own. With that said, if he doesn't earn it don't take it. I predicted PNG-P over Lum-W but desire Lum-W by 40. Even after the STJFL screwed us at the start. Big Ned went undefeated as usual. The true champs. My connection gave his video to Lum-W to game plan. All 3 people I spoke to who saw the video say Lum-R won 20-19 in regulation.

Those were not my words about faster or slower. Those were someone else's words. I will attempt to get the video. It was a great game. PNG scored twice going into the scoreboard. They had an incomplete pass on the second touchdown. They were stopped short going up the middle after the 3rd TD going into the field house after a bad snap. Lumberton missed their first PAT going into the field house but got their next two going around the edge. One on each end of the field.

Yes. The Lumberton Senior Red coaches went to the refs at half time to correct it and were told that they were wrong. The ref refused to question what he had writtten down. The coaches decided to not argue with the officials in front of the kids and protested the game as soon as it was over.

Sounds to me like the video doesn't lie chief. Why cheat kids that won the game out right? Guessing by the name your a PNG fan. I did predict the Lum-R win and I was close. 20-19 actual final va 26-20 predicted. Just to prove it if necessary I will contact my Lumberton connection and watch the video with you. Then will you agree that PNG-P doesn't belong and received a "participation trophy." Just FYI I also predicted that PNG-P would beat Lum-W in the playoffs.

Lum-R has the video and are correct. 20-19 was the final. PNG-P is living a lie if they go to the playoffs. The STJFL will be cheating the kids of Lumberton if they don't reverse the call.The game should not have gone to OT. The honest playoff will be like this: 1. Bmt-B 2. Bmt-W 3. Lum-W vs 5. PtA 4. Lum-R vs 6. PNG-W The board has refused to review the video. Lum-R would be in even if Nederland counted as #3 seed. Do the right thing STJFL.

Supposedly the score was incorrect. Lum-R says that PNG-P was 1-3 in extra points and Lum-R was 2-3. Not sure if they ever received the video to prove it though.

Rumor has it that last nights PNG-P win over Lum-R has a standing protest to be resolved at today's playoff meeting at 2 pm. That will change up everything. If Lum-W and Lum-R have to face each other the Lum-W has a chance to advance to the 2nd round. I am sure the insiders already know the results (or how they are going to vote.)

Looks like Lum-R lost their playoff bid last night. PNG and Bmt get both teams in. Senior Playoffs- Byes to Bmt-B and Bmt-W Lum-R will face PNG-P PT-A will face PNG-W Predictions- PNG-P over Lum-W . PTA over PNG-W BMT- B and BMT-W win both 2nd round matchups. BMT-B wins the Super Bowl

I believe Bmt-B will call off the "Dogs" on defense and allow Vidor to score.

There goes Lumberton again with that "squeaky clean program" acting like the coaches have a "fair draft." We all know that the only reason Lumberton has 2 teams is because they stack one and the other is the B team. They put 1 or 2 of those 1st year players on the A team to look fair and equitable. Either way they still can't beat OF or Nederland if they combined. The B team coaches don't know how to use their lesser talent.

The playoff bracket should show your big school rankings with Nederland excluded due to the unfortunate circumstances. 1. Bmt-B 2. Bmt-W 3. Lum-W (Stacked Team still only 3rd) 4. Lum-R (Weaker Team but beat PA head up) 5. PA 6. PNG-W 7. PNG-P *Nederland and OF would be #1 and #2 if mixed big and small school with OF winning the SB.
