Doesn't appear to be any interest unless it is being kept very, very quiet. I checked Rivals. com top 100 Texas recruits today and he is nowhere to be found. Hard to believe a tailback from a 4AAAA school could rush for over 2000 and not get an inquiry from somewhere. I'd love to see him wearing orange and blue at a little school in east Alabama. Holman

Major college football is big business. Coaches and scouts watch what is available down to the smallest 1A school. If a player can play on the next level they will know of him. It doesn't take a head coach 'franchising' a player to get him recruited. Holman

Nice post, cougarpride. Lamar Consolidated will have a greater impact on Nederland's advancing past the 2nd round than Nederland's loss to vidor. :roll: Holman

I won't go to Waller again. The facilities are fine but that rush hour traffic out of Houston is tough to deal with. Holman

If nederland's 9th grade wins tonite they will be district champs. C O Wilson Middle school was undefeated this year. A Southeast Texas junior football league team from Nederland comprised of 10 and 11 year olds won its Super Bowl last week. 2 other Nederland teams of 8,9, and 10 year olds in the same league win to the playoffs. This league is made up of teams from area towns such as Groves, Port Neches, Mauriceville, Lumberton, Little Cypress and others. Nederland's future is bright as these young guys are already whipping the teams they'll be playing against when they are in high school. Holman

"If Ned. secondary shows up they could win by a few touchdowns." -VHS It is not all on the back of the Nederland secondary. A strong pass will go alot further towards slowing down the L. passing game than the secondary stepping up. Sending linebackers and using a safety blitz. The young Dayton qb had no pressure put on him the whole night. I was expecting our defensive coaches to try to rattle the 10TH grader and force mistakes but i only recall one linebacker blitz. It worked. He rushed his throw and it fell incomplete. The odd thing about the call was that there was only about 5 minutes left in the game. Holman

Nederland will lose this game. Micah's yards are getting harder to come by. Our passing attack gets no respect from opposing defenses so it doesn't affect how the defense plays the run. The one play to counter the pursuit in the lcm game was ran at an inopportune time and almost cost us the game. And apparently Dayton's defense will the toughest we have played against since LaMarque. We feel better about our defense after winning 3 in a row but those wins came against average to below average offenses. Dayton has the big time back, similar to Central's and Waller's that ran up and down the field on us, which we can't seem to stop. But I'll still be there. Go Central. Holman
