  1. I remember 2009 and I agree Pirategirl. Just so everyone knows, if you plan on going to pick up a shirt from the school you must place your order today before 3pm and they will have the shirt tomorrow for pick up. They shirts that they have at school were previously ordered and paid for, no extras. Order and pay today, pick up tomorrow.
  2. Honest mistake on the black/white out Sleepy. I talked to Jeff earlier and asked about black or white. He said as long as we are honoring Matt, that is all that matters to him and the team, honoring #28.
  3. Soulja, if you want a shirt I would be glad to get it for you and meet you before the game to give it to you. I will be at the game by about 6:30pm. Let me know.
  4. Congrats Ned on the win. Both teams showed a lot of heart, no quit in either team. Both teams made big mistakes but both kept fighting. Raines got it going when his team needed it most, well done. Again, congrats Ned. Keep your head up Pirates, keep fighting and good things will happen.
  5. I agree with you Basebow. I swear while I'm reading this stuff I hear chants in the background. Jeeerrrry, Jeeerrrry, Jeeerrrry!
  6. I know 11str8, you're right, your fish would beat our p-rats! I just wanted to make sure BIG NED wasn't missing any key players (starters) for tonight's game! That way if the big upset happens, and I do mean BIG UPSET, you wouldn't have any excuses about missing players. Us Veedorvillians know we don't stand a chance tonight but we're gonna come watch the massacre anyway!
  7. You're right Dawgnut, let's get back to football talk. Serious question for the dogs fans. I had heard earlier in the week about some injured players and some being key players. Are they healthy? Will Raines and Brown be playing? I hope so, hate to see any high school kid have to miss a game for injuries and especially an injury like Raines that could have been avoided. Looking forward to tonights game!
  8. Like Piratefan 23 said, how can it be "annual" if it didn't happen last year?
  9. Vidor and Nederland fans, you all should be ashamed to post on this board! The Barbers Hill/ Dayton thread was started 6 days after this thread and now has more pages. Can't believe we're letting 19-4A beat us!
  10. Hey Scalp 'em, where did you get that info from? Just wondering if its posted somewhere. I sure would like to know how the peewee divsions are broken up.
  11. Hey Pat, I may have missed it but could you give directions to the stadium. Thanks in advance.
  12. Yeah Mr. Tapdancer or tapout or whatever. Take that you filthy animal! You tell 'em SDMF. Whats so special about our halftime show is it's a great tradition here in Vidor. We are very proud of it. With you being from PNG I guess you wouldn't know anything about TRADITION!
  13. Won't do any good to take him to lunch Soulja! I been sneakin' in there every night working on it. I have a remote so I can control it from my seat! All jokes aside, here's to a good, injury free game. Good luck to the Jags.
  14. I know what it is Soulja. We been working on that scoreboard all week! We have made some adjustments and now have it tuned perfectly for Friday night! I think your gonna like it!  ;D
  15. VNUPE, I stand corrected. I do see where someone said WHEN, but I assure you he isn't part of the Vidor White coaching staff. We have nothing but respect for WOS. We are looking forward to a good game with no injuries. Good luck to both teams.
  16. VNUPE and ICEWATER, you 2 need to get a grip. I don't see anybody on here dogging WOS or predicting that they will beat you guys from here on out. All I see is a few guys discussing the crazy STJFL playoff qualifications and the lack of clarity involved with the rules. Spin it however you want to but I don't see anybody putting WOS down, but rather I see respect being given. Good luck on Saturday and in the playoffs.   Hey ICE, you ever coach 3rd base for an Orange Pinto all star team?
  17. I just thought of another question I need help on. Of course all of this is based on a big IF. If vidor white beats wos then Lum Red, Vid White and WOS are all 3-1 in division. Tiebreaker would come down to points allowed. Is that points allowed in the division against common opponents or total points allowed for the season. It would make sense to me to only factor in division games since we are trying to decide finish order for the division. Again this is based on the big IF Vidor White can pull it off Saturday. Just curious, what do you guys think?
  18. I agree Country, Vidor White has a lot of work to do to beat WOS. They are a talented group of kids. Good luck to both teams.
  19. So what you guys are saying is IF Vidor White where to beat a very good WOS team this coming Saturday they would finish the season tied for 1st place in their division with a 3-1 record. But if they don't win by at least 14 points they would not make the playoffs. WOW!   Question?  IF Vidor white squeeks it out against WOS and Lumb blue loses to OF, who would go? Lumb Blue would be 4-4 and Vidor White would be 4-3 having the better winning percentage so I assume Vidor would advance. Help me out guys.
  20. I think we will know a lot more after this weekend. PNG Grey plays at Vidor White, PNG Purple plays Ned Black and Ned White plays Lumberton Blue. Playoff picture starting to take shape and these 3 games will play a big role in who goes and who goes home!
  21. Hey dog, maybe you should have them practice bad then! (shrugs shoulders)
  22. God bless the Garrett family and the WOS Mustangs. RIP Mr. Reggie Garrett.
  23. Bbmom, just for clarification, the rule we were talking about yesterday was an old rule and had not been updated for this year. Changes were made to the by-laws and what they say is that a junior kid may play up in seniors if he is over the maximum weight for juniors but must still abide by the weight rules for runningbacks in seniors. This kid has an unlimited  max weight in seniors as long as he playing up but must be weight eligible to be a runningback. Otherwise, he is  LO.   Hippy is correct, the STJFL board has contact info on the website. They can explain it better than I if you still have questions.
  24. Bbmom, it is kind of misleading. A kid can move up 1 division due to weight and can play any position until his age catches up and he is age appropriate then he must play according to weight.   For example, an 8 year old who weighs 130 has to move up to juniors because peewee cut off is 125. He will play with no position restriction, he could be a runningback in this instance. The next year he is now 9 and still weighs 130. Now he is age appropriate for juniors and now by rule has to be LO.      Hope this helps. Oh, also according to the rules on the website, no kid can play in a division if he is over the maximum weight for that division. Example, according to the rules on the website a 10 year old who weighs 170 couldn't move up and play seniors because he is over their maximum weight rule of 160. Like I said, hope this helps.
