1st run was a walk, stole second. then a pickoff throw to second miss cue between short and second ball goes to center, runner on second scores. 2nd run was scored with 3 walks and a hit batsman. 3rd run was and error, 2 walks and a fielders choice with bases loaded.  know it sounds screwy but buna was no hit two games in a row.  I thinks they only hit the ball out of the infield 3 times in two games. CH score was just as bad, 6 runs on on only 2 hits that i can remember.  Haley led the game off with a double and then there was another single by I think the second baseman in the 3rd. The rest were walks and errors by Buna.

West Sabine 17 Hull 2  Ws scored 13 runs in the second with 2 outs, Hull fell apart.

Bigger schools have always done this and with more and more 1a schools building new facilites it makes sense to play at home. You have a bigger fan base, less money tied up in travel and you get to keep the gate and concession money.  With gas close to $4.00 a gallon it makes it harder for the regular fans to go. Parents and family will always be there so do whatever you can to help anyone be there.

Does anyone know what kind of format Evadale is going to use this year in their tournament? Two years ago it was a elimination type bracket, last year it was some kind of round robin.

Couple of questions MrUmp1 Couple of things that happened at the West Sabine vs McLeod game. Pitcher pitched more that 10 innings in one day. Have found out since then that this is a rules violation, West Sabine's coach knew this because it happened to WS in either 03 or 04. But umpires at the game said it wasn't a rule. If it is what is the penalty? Also one of the umpires told a parent that you could not protest a High School game. Is this true? Sad part about this is this was WS's chosen umpires from the Beaumont chapter.

West Sabine will play a best 2 out of 3 series with Maud in Carthage. Friday night double header starting at 5:00pm. Game 3 Saturday if necessary, time to be set later.
