How many kids from LCM or Mauriceville have gone on to play college ball in the last 10 yrs. Not D-1, just anywhere. just curious.

It's a shame that the team is as sorry as it is. Nothing to do with the kids, looks likes all coaching to me. No wonder kids decide to just play baseball. If they keep on the choir may be an option. The band is also another option. I will say one thing....the kids that are playing now are as tuff as it can get. I would have to say that they are all packing a pair. Seems like someone in charge around this administration would finally wake up and admit there is a problem.

Hey snipper and big snitch. Before ya'll get your panties in a wad, let me clarify myself. I by no means am trying to degrade the kids on LCMs football team. They are being asked to make chicken salad out of you know what. It is a shame that the biggest and best lessons they will learn from their highschool football experiences will not be from a good coach or adult leadership, but rather from how to face adversity and malcontent. Now as far as for all those playoffs and district championships they have pushed for, i must have missed those years. I am not talking about the kids, i am merely stating a fact that LCM football has been a losing program for most of the last 30 plus yrs.

You lose to LCM and you don't deserve any respect........EVER.......

Bears by 20. Vidor will be begging the refs to run the clock in the second half. Kinda like a little league game, or like the bears have done this year.

Hire whoever ya'll want. They may get more competitive but they will still be losers. Always have been always will be. Good luck getting a coach much better than doody.

The majority of the people would be, and always have been satisfied just to have a competitive football program at LCM. Their district is always tough. The year they had the 5-5 record was one of the weakest years in a long time for their district. As a whole they have been anything but competitive over the last few years, thus the reason for all the uproar. I could care less any more about the politicing and other mess going on, but it's a crying shame for the few kids who do want to play to have to put up with this mess.

There are several good teachers at LCM and many that don't have a clue. But the dealings i've had with most of the administration has been like talking to politicians. You get a real good story but no explaination. There is also rarely any common sense used. This includes the coaching staff also. Don't bother questioning my experiences. I've had two kids go from !st grade to graduating from LCM.

LCM pulls off upset of the season. They score twice. Ned 48..LCM 12....

Depends on whether Nederland stays with starters or plays their third string for most of the second half like PNG did. If they stay with starters it could be ugly,although stange things can happen on Friday nights. As far as LCM being young, that is pretty much self explainatory. There are several schools in the area way smaller than LCM that have many more upperclassmen on their teams.

Until the LCM people quit worrying about having good attitudes, instead of winning football attitudes things will never change. They have been losers in football for the last 40 years. Also until the administration can admit theythey are wrong, instead of sticking together like a pack of thieves things will continue to be bad. Commander bojo and his bozos just put the icing on the cake.

WIN OR LOSE, WITH FOOTBALL STARTING AGAIN, IT WILL HELP THINGS GET BACK TO A SENSE OF NORMAL. IT'S NOT GONNA FIX HOMES OR REPLACE POSSESIONS, BUT IT SHOWS THE RESOLVE OF THIS AREA. PEOPLE IN THE GOLDEN TRIANGLE CAN BE PROUD THAT THEY ARE NOT A LOT OF KATRINA WHINNERS. HATS OFF TO OUR HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES FOR HITTING THE FIELD. ALSO I ALMOST FORGOT TO MENTION THE YOUNG LADIES TEARING UP THE VOLLYBALL COURTS. YA'LL CAN BE PROUD OF YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS NO MATTER THE RECORDS.

KIDS TODAY LOVE TO LAY UP IN AIR CONDITIONED WEIGHT ROOMS WORKING OUT, THINKING THEY ARE GETTING IN SHAPE. GETTING IN SHAPE..( ESPECIALLY IN S.E. TEXAS ) REQUIRES MORE OUTSIDE WORK THAN INSIDE. I.E. RUNNING STANDS, SPRINTS, AND SOME LONG DISTANCE.

MAYBE MOODY AND PARSONS CAN SINGLE HANDEDLY WHIP THE DISTRICT. THEY MAY HAVE TO IF THINGS KEEP GOING THE WAY THEY HAVE THE LAST FEW YEARS. SURE DOESEN'T LOOK LIKE MANY COACHES WANT TO HANG AROUND. HARD TO FIND ENOUGH LITTLE PUPPIES TO FOLLOW HIM AROUND.
