Hey Daddy, Its called economics. Why do you say its SAD that they stacked 21-3A with all those playoff teams? Quit your whining! Orangefield, BC,HF, WOS, are all in the same district because they are CLOSE together, take a freakin' geography lesson! Tarkington, Liberty, Solendora, Cleveland, Coldspring, and Shepherd are together because, you guessed it Einstein, GEOGRAPHY. They are all within 20-30 minutes of each other except for Liberty. Have you ever travelled outside of the "triangle" area?? Probably not since most of you triangle folk think the world begins and ends in Beaumont. Unbelievable!

22-3A might as well quit after the regular season is over. After all, WOS and Silsbee have already won the state championship for 2006. Apparently, you guys in the triangle area have not seen Coldspring or Splendora play. Coldspring may have as much team speed as WOS. I did not say they are as good a football team but they are flat out fast. Coach Stewart has done a good job getting the Trojans back on track. Splendora may be one of the "toughest" teams I have seen in a long time. They are not the same team that OField and Hamshire saw earlier this year. Ironically, their turnaround may have come in a 42-33 LOSS to Diboll, when Gilbert Moye returned for the Jacks. They are not gonna win many track meets but their O-Line and backs are bruisers! They have put up nearly 40 points a game in district play. Both of these teams are under new coaches this year and both have gotten their kids to get better and better each week. Remember, Coldspring was 1-9 last year and I think Splendora was 3-7. Regardless of what happens in the playoffs, these teams have made tremendous strides. They are starting to believe and that kind of team can be dangerous come playoff time. So keep on with the "badmouthin" about 22 AAA and we will see in a few weeks. I promise, these teams will show up and they will battle you to the end.

This should be a good one. Splendora has started putting up some major points in the past few weeks. Liberty's defense has not stopped anyone. But the game is in Liberty and Liberty seems to always play well at home. Splendora in a close one Splendora 32 Liberty 26

Yeah, keep thinking that Jags, WOS thought like that a couple of years ago too when Huffman rolled into the dome and kicked the crap out of them. Practice games??? I don't think the Texas High School playoffs have ever been practice games. Ya still gotta line up and play.

Coldspring should be the favorite with all the speed. After that, it is a tossup. Shepherd scores points but gives up a lot as well. I can't believe Tarkington is even mentioned but I know they have a decent QB. After a slow start, Splendora is now putting points on the board but has given up some points as well. Liberty and Coach Stewart always seem to get better when district rolls around and Cleveland, well 0-6 speaks volumes for them. My picks: Coldspring 5-0 Liberty 4-1 Splendora 3-2

I am definitely not a Barbers Hill fan. Aas a matter of fact, I cant stand them but how can you guys get on here and bash them when all they do is WIN! They can only play the schedule that is set before them. And yet, they just win! Coach Price runs one of the classiest programs in the state of Texas. Al Davis would love this guy because " He just wins Baby!". Move em' to 4A, and you got it, "THEY CONTINUE to WIN". So what if they are bumped off in the first or 2nd round. I can think of MANY schools who would take those 10-1, 11-1, and 12-1 seasons!!! And as for them losing to Lumberton in a scrimmage, give me a freakin' break, it's a scrimmage!! Last time I checked, scrimmages do not count as wins and therefore Barbers Hill does not care! They are in the business of winning, and for about 8 years now, business has been real good! I would be extremely interested in Barbers Hill's record since Price took over. I would be willing to bet that other than Newton, or maybe WOS, there is not a program with more wins in Southeast Texas.

Gotta go with K-Ville on this one. I saw the Orangefield-Splendora game and Orangefield was not that good.

Looks as if he may need to play a little defense too to help Diboll into the playoffs!!

Wow. 23AAA opponents could possibly be playing each other for the right to play in Austin in BOTH baseball and softball. BH vs Huffman in baseball and and Splendora vs Barbers Hill in Softball! Quite a district!!!

I think HJ played there last week! HJ should win easily. Splendora did hit the ball very well against Roebuck however (11 hits). Splendora is just hurting for pitching right now.

Has Splendora played a warm up game? I saw that HJ destroyed Corrigan Tuesday.

Agree ETBU, HJ is a much improved team from the beginning of the year. Saw them spank WOS earlier in April but also saw Huffman spank them as well. I did see Splendora run rule Forest Brook and Concordia in the Cleveland tournament earlier this year as well. What are these teams overall records?

Whats the deal. I went to the UIL site and none of the teams are even in the bracket.
