2. Ok Brokecoach, you made me do it.  Your post was actually on point til about halfway down.  This tells me you, like many know-it-alls, have some of the details and just assume or guess at the rest.  2 coaches i know that left dont even coach any more (took jobs so they could feed their families).  Two more that ii know wanted to go coach in their home towns (extra pay was just a bonus).  Two have gone on to become principals ($$$$).  And out of all of them there's a grand total of ZERO that left because of the AD.  Good try though.  If its sickening for you to watch these "underpaid" kids play their hearts out week after week regardless of the size and speed disadvantages then i suggest you go slip back under that rock you crawled out from under and dont go watch any more.  We'd all be better off for it.  Wake up fella and realize that there is a reason Lumberton has always had one the highest turnover ratios in this area in not just coaches, but teachers as well, year in and year out. $$  Its just quite difficult these days to coach football, teach, and have to work another job to pay the bills, especially if you have children yourself.  YOU ask around!!  I cant blame any coach for leaving for better job paying oppurtunities if it means being able to make their families a little more comfortable.  Maybe you should get your certificate and go out and coach em up.  I'm sure they'd win state :)  jeez, how do i always let these armchair quarterbacks fire me up?  Badndn - You are correct that 6A will not change anything "immediately", but i guarantee you it will change things in its first or second realignment after inception.
3. 1.  Almost entirely new varsity staff still learning the system.  (Difficult to find coaches that will come to Lumberton or stay in Lumberton for the pay) A total of 8 Coaches left in two years for an average profit margin of no less than 5,000 more a year.  2.  Whoever said in an earlier post that the students over look the fact they can win at the middle-school level because they are playing other schools that are devided in two needs to tell their parents.  Its unbelievable how nieve some parents are in Lumberton. 3.  Someone touched on it earlier, you would have to be blind not to see the average size and weight differance on the O and D-line.  O-line avg.= 220lbs (3 at 200 or less); D-line avg. = 190lbs.  This might be ok for a 60's or 70's team, but not even Saban magic could overcome this big a margin! There are other issues, some that have already been stated, but not any that i can tell are the outcome of poor leadership, coaching, or decision making on the part of Coach Credeur.  Honestly, the folks in Lumberton are fortunate that HE has chosen to come and STAY here. And dont forget, 6A is coming and there is certainly some talent coming up.  The L-Train will be back on track before long.  I guarantee!!
4. wow, rayd88, tell us how you really feel.  Two words.... OVER KILL!  i suggest, since you said you never read these boards until now, you should probably go back to not reading them if you cant handle what is said.  This is a place for people to post their opinions about things pertaining to area soccer.  I can tell you now that the more you read into what people post on here, the more you will get frustrated.  No, there was no "slander" or "defamation", just your opinion of it.  I do not current these boards either, maybe once or twice a month, sometimes less (you can check my history).  So I wasnt even aware, until now, that Truth thought i was you.
5. Honorable mention is the coach's choice.  The rest were selected as all district, so that makes 12 for Lumberton (still high).  However, the most valuable player from this district played for Lumberton and was not rewarded BECAUSE she does play for the dominant team.  The TRUTH is that if she played for any other team in that district, she would have been the best player and leader on that team.  Stats played way too big a roll in determining honors this year and that's a shame.  Lumberton had 3 district games where 7 different girls scored goals.  If he would have left his leading scorers in the game, it would have been worse, but i guess thats what the coaches who voted want to see, STATS!  The girl that was nominated is a good player, and without doubt, in time, will become a great player, but the best player on her team was nominated as defensive player of the year.  She scored the most goals against the best team in district and nearly completely stopped them from scoring at all in the first game while playing defense while the "District MVP" never took a shot or had an assist against Lumberton.  They got it wrong and thats a fact, but good lockerroom material for next season i guess.
6. lumberton lady raiders winning at the beginning of 2nd half against lady bears 2-1
7. Boys Varsity:  PNG 4 Lum 2 JV:        PNG 5  Lum 1 Girls Varsity:  Lum 3 Ned 0 JV:        Lum 5 Ned 1
8. Brenham is a quality team.  Good game by LC-M. If your team is not Freindswood then FF dont believe you should even play soccer.  To him, one of the region's top teams can be only Friendswood.  He thinks Midway (defending region champs) is a very distant second and Stratford might be able to sniff their dirty socks if they get lucky.  Everyone else should just give up cause they'll never get any better, at least not as good as FW.   I love you though FF, make sure you keep posting on here after the move up to 5A.  We'll be rootin for ya  ;)
9. Lumberton Boys and Girls will play another Double Header @ Summer Creek High School Stadium. Boys play Waller @ 5:30 Girls play Huntsville @ 7:30
10. 37-4A Final results (Girls): Lumberton 10-0-0 HJ            8-2-0 Livingston  5-4-1 Jasper        3-5-2 Liberty      2-7-1 Silsbee      0-10-0
11. Direct play is in fact a part of soccer when available.  If not, then it should be easily defended.  However, of the 6 games i have seen him play, i have only seen 2 breakaways over the last defender.  He has scored 95% with the ball at his feet and beating the last or last two defenders.  Scoring in the game of soccer is also one the hardest things to accomplish in sports, so i believe a great deal of credit needs to be given for his ability to finish as well.  Slick, you should consider changing your name to Sour5.
12.

Well, now I'm confused.  Coach Neumann hired Coach English, but he doesn't want him to be successful?  That makes no sense.  And since he's been around, the baseball team has turned into a powerhouse (how long, btw, has he been AD.... I honestly don't know). And the comment about dictatorship, you will always ruffle feathers when you call the shots.  You got to come up with something more solid than "he's raised some hackles because of his dictatorship".  I'm sure Patton and Eisenhower managed to piss people off.......
Neumann hired English because had to.  English was a hometown kid, lived in Nederland, his wife and mother were employed by NISD, and English was the best young coach in the area.  English's success at Vidor and Nederland's complete lack of success in basketball was making Neumann look bad.  Everyone knew English wanted to come to Nederland and Neumann finally had to hire him.  But yes, even though he hired him, Neumann wanted English to fail.  Neumann does not want any other Nederland athletic team to outshine his football team.  The Nederland Athletic Dept succeeds in spite of Neumann not because of him.
U nailed it!
How funny!  You realize that if you told this joke at the comedy club, you'd get crickets.  It just makes no sense.  Ya'll sure can be retarded sometimes.  Have you ever thought that Neuman, much like most ADs, loves the game of football more than any other sport?  That does not mean that he doesnt want the basketball team, program, or coach to succeed.  How does it make any sense if the lack of success was making him look bad to begin with that he would want to go back to that by wanting English to fail?  Tell ya what, take some time, try to see the big picture, and when that lightbulb goes off in your head, let me know how it feels to finally get rid of the conspiracy theory darkness.
13. The starting keeper did not have a PK save.  You have to be in the game to do that.  He was too busy jawing with the ref and getting ejected for his selfish comments. The backup keeper did make a good save though.
14. Lumberton 4, Silsbee 2      FINAL There were 4 Penalty Kicks, at least 6 yellows, 1 soft red, and 1 straight red.  Officiating was poor all around to say the least, and i never really complain about it, but there should have been 3 more reds.  Neither team gained much in preparation for future matches against better competition IMO.  Now this was the first time i've seen Silsbee play, so i dont know how they would grade their own performance in this match.  As for Lumberton, it was sloppy and very uncharacteristic of their talent.  The flow of the game was completely butchered by the amount of stoppages due to senseless fouls and foolishly immature outbursts.  Thank God noone was injured.  How, i have no idea!
15. The first half was a lot of offense and not so much defense.  Really fun to watch both teams going for it and opening the field up.  Rip is right, Lumberton didnt take care of a few gift-wrapped oppurtunities in the first half and Kelly must have finished at about 75 to 80% on theirs.  I'm hoping the Lady Raiders' finishing gets to the where Kelly's is by the time they are in the playoffs.  Good luck against Ursuline!  Ya'll owe 'em one.
