[/quote] Yes it is true that since players found out that Silsbee was going to be in the same district as HJ recruitment numbers have dropped.  These players were well aware of how few and far between district and state titled would become.  And since that last good recruiting class graduated in 2007 that has become the case.  Many would be HJ recruits have since ended up at Yates.

I believe the legend says yellow and orange are Yates and Blue is HJ.

The subject of this thread is Silsbee and HJ's hard road,  and although they both get the team who is viewed as the big dog early,  WOS has to get through Cleveland and undefeated Navasota to get to the regional finals to meet Yates.

Yes and although all would love to be regional finalists,  I don't believe that was the ultimate goal for either Silsbee or HJ based on recent history.
