1. I believe Darnall from WOS will break out this year. if he stays healthy...injuries bugged him his first two years, and he still made all-district each year. Also, some people overlook ofield's new guy, Huckabay. If i'm not mistaken, he was offensive mvp in his previous district. Watch out for him. If they get 3 big bats going at once, they'll be hard to stop. And from BC, with Kellogg gone, little Dishon will have the opportunity to prove himself. Keep your eyes open southeast Texas, this area has talent.
2. the usual suspects, matt hicks jace statum jacob felts logan johnson zane anderson silsbee has some young guns, but they lost their best to an injury. i can see zoch having a good year for bc, every team is bound to have at least one suprise a year though.
Hampshire has one pitcher and and one good hitter and another decent hitter they will barely maybe win 6 games i see it BC OF WOS buttt it also could be BC WOS OF  wos gave OF  run for there money last year and i know you remember when they beat HF so if They can beat HF with HFs best team EVER they sure as heck can beat them now WOS only lost 4 player and 2 of those players didnt contribute at all Therefore HFs chance is very SLIMMMM
You need to get a clue
you need to do your homework maybe if you knew anything about the district you would think otherwiseeeeeeeeeee ;D
Why did you put 26 e's at the end of "otherwise"? I'm pretty sure there's just supposed to be one!
I believe ts only 11
You have no idea what you're talking about! WOS baseball is horrible! They look like a bunch of Usain Bolts and Asafa Powells out there trying to field ground balls. HF baseball is more prestigous than the New York Yankees and will find a way to win. Go learn something!!
Jesus, what ignorance..
4. Orangefield will be the team to beat, but i dont believe they've ever beaten number 5 in red and white. I believe that's what the district title will come down to.. orangefield is returning a lot and gtting better, but im sure he isnt slacking off.
5. In one game; 1. Nederland w/Bellow 2. Bridge City w/Hicks 3. Orangefield w/Statum 4. PNG w/Benoit 5. West Brook w/Wilson 6. Vidor w/Hester 7. WOS w/Anderson 8. Jasper w/Sowell 9. LCM w/Waddell 10. HF w/Johnson In a set of 3; 1. Nederland 2. Orangefield 3. Bridge City 4. PNG 5. West Brook 6. WOS 7. Jasper 8. Vidor 9. Silsbee 10. LCM *I say Nederland is gonna be great, solid fundamentals and great pitching *Orangefield is gonna be a solid 3a offense, as long as the defense holds together they'll be good. *BC is extremely tough with Hicks, but they dont have much after him now with that guy going back to la. They usually have a couple guys that step up though, so i'd never count them out. *PNG is solid, coach Stone always throws a solid group on the field, couple good starters and lots of potential from their younger players *West Brook has talent, they'll be good, but its tough to compete at the 5a level in setx *Vidor will have two good starters in Hagler and Hester, but they dont have much offense behind em *I see WOS being solid this year. they had a decent team last year, but they're returning 7 starters, and are always tough with Anderson on the hill *Jasper will have a good core as most of their pitching staff is returning *LCM will be okay with Waddell on the mound, but after him its in the air *Silsbee will return all but one player, solid young team *HF lost a lot, but is returning two all-state players in Minaldi and Johnson. Theyre no statum and felts, but they'll help hf win some games
6. WO-S has a lot Zane Anderson (jr)- number one starter, all-district Clayton Gearheart (sr)- 1st baseman, all-district Jordan Darnall (jr)- catcher, all-district also returning starters seniors Justin Sparrow(ss), Van Jordan(of), Taylor Turley(3b & p), junior Darius Mitchell(of), and freshmen Zach Droulliard(of & p). they look to me to be a good group
7. not to say that they aren't deserving, but it should be the best of the best, i can understand the co-mvp situation, but for everything else there should just be one spot per position other than pitchers and outfielders. and that silsbee team sure has a lot of good young players. can't wait to watch them play in the coming years
8. haha this is great I'd be going nuts if i was a coach when they were on sliding on the tarp. The guy on the tarp with his clothes on upside-down confused the devil outta me at first haha
9. then my apologies critter, just misinterpreted it.
10. Who are these guys??? are they from HF??? no anderson is from (WOS) flowers is from jokeville usa (HJ) and admas is a reliver for (HF) lol I don't understand why somebody would disrespect a program or a player like that, it's completely uncalled for. HJ had a down year, that's just how baseball goes. And Zane Anderson deserves all the praise he gets, he has done an outstanding job on the mound this year for the Mustangs. I believe he should be an automatic shoe-in for first team, with just a little more run-support from his team, he would've won practically every game he pitched, minus one or two bumps in the road. This was another great year of 21-3a baseball and i look forward to watching the ramaining teams play and to see how the district plays out in hte coming years, props to all you players!
11. MVP-Matt Hicks Offensive-Felts/Statum Defensive-Felts/Statum P-Caleb Kellogg, BC C-Jordan Darnall, WO-S 1B-Clayton Gearhart, WO-S 2B-Joe Robertson, BC SS-Taylor Eaves, HF 3B-Logan Ferguson, HJ OF-Luke Rhodes, BC OF-Jeremy Pinder, HF OF-Jake Minaldi, HF DH-Mulholland, BC Newcomer-Caleb Henry, SIL
12. exactly, there's so much that goes on in one season. the better teams are the mentally stronger ones. the ones that don't self-destruct after a loss or a bad inning or even one bad play. this year's bridge city team isn't doing as they did last year- hitting a ton of homeruns and beating the snot out of everybody, this year, they're playing great baseball AS A TEAM. they play great defense, have great pitching and some really good pitching depth for a 3a team. they manufacture runs, make smart decisions on the basepaths and in the field. they just play great baseball. they may not blow you out every game, but they find ways to win. dang good ball club.
13. actually inconsistent teams win it all a good majority of the time. the best team isn't always the team that wins.. just the team that happens to be hot at the time. look at the world series winning phillies. I dont believe they were BETTER than the devil rays, but they were hot at the right time to beat them. it is baseball, anything can happen on any given night. good major league teams lose 70 games a year. like when the red sox get sweep by the royals in a 4-game set. that doesnt mean the royals are better, just the royals are hot or red sox were slumping. got a little off topic here but maybe i proved a point to somebody? lol
14. I believe you can count the 5 young men I mentioned earlier as stars by now. I belive they've earned it. Amir Jalali- 7 home runs on the season, can really go get em in the outfield. Jordan Darnall- when at a WO-S game he always seems to be getting on base and is a very smart player no matter where he is on the field. Reggie Wilson- absolute stud of a pitcher. sure shoved it up Barbe while only giving up one hit. Good leadoff hitter with pop and has some extreme speed in outfield and on the basepath. Austin Stone- definitely solidifying as a major component to the Indians. Plays great defense and knows how to swing it. Hunter Hagler- always a tough out at the plate and plays a very good 3rd base for the pirates. If these guys aren't stars, please tell me what is! also, Silsbee's catcher, not sure of the name, he can hit the ball pretty well, good pop and doesn't get cheated. another sophomore i believe.
15. jalali plays with GTB during the summer, along with a LOT of other highly talented young players from the area. and Jones from Kville doesn't throw in the mid 80's. he's lucky to touch 80. Seen him pitch on multiple occasions and he's never impressed me. and nederland and PNG are really loaded with young talent aren't they!? Gonzales will be solid and i hear matt mernard, bc's freshman running back, is also a baseball stud as well. is this true?
16. sophomores: Amir Jalali- PNG Jordan Darnall- WOS Reggie Wilson- Westbrook Austin Stone- PNG Hunter Hagler- Vidor all have great talent, will surely be the stars of the coming years.
17. P-Matt Hicks, BC C-Jacob Felts, OF 1B-Josh Skinner, Silsbee 2B-Jordan Darnall, WO-S SS-Jordan Pitts, Nederland 3B-Kane Benoit, PN-G LF-Matt Johnson, LC-M CF-Jace Statum, OF RF-Trae' Hester, Vidor DH-Stefan Cloeren, LC-M
18. well bc lost all of their pitching from last year. i believe snyder is the only returning pitcher. im sure they'll still find ways to score plenty of runs, but will they win?? also silsbee lost 10 or so seniors last year and dont have hardly anybody returning other than their first baseman, so i don't predict them to make too much noise in this district.
19. who will bc have this year now that the seniors are gone and so is hicks??
20. hodge will be the number one but i dont think bonnin will be the number two. that will be between probably taylor turley, who moved from orangefield this year, and two sophomores zane anderson and jordan darnall. they will defenitely be much deeper in pitching this year than the last.
21. These guys are gonna be the stars of high school baseball in the coming years. Amazing talent. Anybody have a schecdule for them? I want to go catch some of thier games this summer.
