of beats bc and wos, wos beats hf.  OF has to win on road against bc but plays wos at home.  HF has to beat wos at wos.  As long as no upsets that should do it.

It is interesting that all the playoff spots could come down to play in situations.  Could be 3 way playoff for the 3rd spot and then at the top.  Not sure when the last time this happened in this district.

This entire district has struggled at the free throw line this season. 

No way that HF beats WOS at home.  Bobcats still have WOS at home.  This game is going extra innings.

yes, if wos, hf, and us split home games as has happened so far then it would be 3 way tie and a play in game.  Biggest game of year is Tues night at home vs HF.  Win that game still in the hunt.  Have to hope that wos and hf does not pull off any surprises.  That's why Friday night could have been a stealer game.

Good job on the broadcast tonight.  I had to be out of town so it was nice to at least hear the game. 

These kids don't get the opportunity to get better.  Huge game Friday and what do the kids get to work on tomorrow, more offseason football, measure for verts etc.  Never get to practice during the period.  Now have to make up workouts so that they don't have to lift on game day.  This is a joke.  Imagine if you had 1 practice day for a football game.  Better yet, imagine trying to sell that to a new coach.  Your going to be in the toughest district in state, you are not allowed to be in the gym before season starts, not gonna be able to practice during the period during the season.  You are going to make sure that you do a football workout all year even though it does nothing to help any of our programs.  Why do other schools continue to get better, practice.  Just a joke!  Until that changes nothing else will!  Congrats Silsbee on the win.

I must admit that I was talking about that I thought that HJ was the cream of the crop this year in district.  However, it just goes to show that on any given night anyone can win.  If you are looking at all of the stats Silsbee did very well and looked on paper as to why they won the game.  When you hold HJ to that kind of shooting night they are very beatable, but so is any other team in this district.  Bottom line is that you are only as good as your last ball game and right now the edge goes to Silsbee until the next time.  Then I am sure that we can start the debate all over again.

I will agree, you have to hit the Ft on the road, came back from 17 but doesn't matter if you don't win. 

Must have been bad ft night in 21-3a, bobcats shoot 12-22.

OF coach would be a great fit for this program.  Great ability to motivate and get the most out of his football players.

Knocking down the mid range jumper will open up for more dunks.  Thats what makes the kid from HJ a true threat, over play the wing, drive by for the dunk.  The alley oop is the one that will bring everyone off their seats.

Not really sure what your mean by discipline.  In the games that I Have seen you have your main player yelling at the coach becasue he takes him out.  Of course Coach puts the kid right back in teaching a great lesson.  Get in the big guys head and you beat HF.  We did it the first game waited too late to do it the second time.

Not talking outside of area but trying to get good local teams into tourney.  Maybe try an Orange County type tourney to look at the dates.  Not looking to get SOC type teams but I think if teams have alternative to like the EC tourney they might consider.  It would then open us up to play in other tournament. 

Gonna have to look at changing dates possibly to get any good draws.

Where was the coach at tonight?  Heard he wasn't going to be there on Saturday either.

Very disciplined against the press.  They also played very good defense most of the game.  Just not sure why the kid called time out and then why he was kid throwing the ball in as their best freee throw shooter.  On a side note, does the HF coach ever stop yelling? Was surprised at how few kids HF had on the bench, has some kids quit left HF?  Not counting the doves.

If Kountze doesn't call the timeout @ the end they win the game and this is a non issue.  I will say that HF played really good man to man defense getting all over Kountze and doing a very good job on the Lynn kid.  He wound up in double figures but was not much of a factor.  They did a good job in keeping him out of the half court set.  That was part of issue that I have seen with Kountze this season.  In years past they were a better half court team but this year in the 2 games I have watched they have struggled.  Still think they will be ok.  I also thought Malveau did a solid job in not trying to block shots like he did last year.  HF also did a much better job against the press and really scored at will against the press.  Not sure why he stayed with it as it was not very effective and led to alot of easy HF baskets.

School board has nothing to do with.  It is up to the Supt to do something about it and I doubt that will happen given the success of the basketball program.  The only person that a school board can impact is the supt.

I don't even like football, but that is some of the funniest sh## I have read in a long time.  Sounds like the twirlers need some serious work!

Hate to hear this.  We have talked alot about how impportant that role is.  We are in the same boat at our school as well.  We just hired a science teacher who has never coached or played basketball to be one of our assistants.  Not to mention we have universal off season so our kids can't even get in the gym.  That is why the AD should be a separate position because of this.  Can't believe it happened in Nederland though.  Good luck with it and i agree that parents should keep going to the board and show the displeasure. 

Why would you interview and then not take the job?
