How could we have a district track meet at PNG when there are only 7 lanes? I heard it's at Nederland.

Kingwood Park is a good team.  However; lost to Ozen last year in YMBL by 14.  Then lost to them again in the playoffs without Ozen's star player.  If they should be in the top three so should Ozen.  I don't think they are  in SETX.

I agree with Old Doc.  I would need mor info. But, if it is someone who works with the players all the time I would say it's Ok.  However; if it's someone who does not work with the program, they should probably sit in the stands with the rest of us and voice their opinion whether wrong or right from the stands.  If the players are uneasy with this person they should discuss this matter with their coach ASAP!

Summer Track meets held in Houston every weekend. If you are interested: USATF.org or AAUTf.org. You can run for a club or unattached. Age Groups: begin at 7-18. There is a Track Club in Port Arthur beginning age 11. There is a Beaumont Track as well.

Every Tuesday the Port Arthur Newspaper gives the track & field area leaders.

You guys must have Brown and Brannon mixed up. She is a good player, but not as good as Brannon#22.

My vote is for A'Lexus Brannon of Ozen. Best Defensive Player in 4a in my opinion even though coach did not nominate. Believe it or not she can dunk a basketball! Round About Averages: Points per Game: 14 Blocked Shots per Game: 5 (Coach says that's not defense. LOL) Assist: 4

It's going to be hard Panthers, but play together and you can pull this one off. Even with one of your starters out, hard work will eventually pay off.

I am an Ozen fan. However; Central has faced Ozen 3 times this season, and A'Lexus Brannon (5'11")is also a high quality junior who plays 1-5. If you can handle her then you can probably handle just about anybody in the state. Even though, the first time these two teams met she dropped 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 blocked shots. Next time around Central made the adjustments and held her to 14 for the winn!!! Central will be just fine! Good luck to all!

I think some of Ozen players have been ill due to a virus. Also, it looked like their main player may have a little injury, and may need a little rest before the playoffs. However; no need to play and risk anyone getting injured. Even though it would have been another great match.

Great game! One of the best I have seen in a long time. Both teams played hard. When #22 came in the game ( Brannon) the game went to a different level. Highly competitive! Great moves and plays from both sides! Central played hard as well as Ozen. It was a true cat fight!(LOL)You are so right, it is extremely hard to beat a team three times in a season. Sometimes Beaumont Central and Ozen girls get left out too. However; I can't complain this year. I think they have covered Ozen and Central pretty good this year. Thanks!

IF THE COACHES PICK, THEN THEY MUST HAVE BEEN DRINKING SOMETHING OTHER THAN GATORADE, BECAUSE #1 FOR OZEN IS CLEARLY A FIRST TEAM PLAYER. WE NEED TO ELIMINATE THE COACHES AND LET THE PLAYERS CHOOSE FROM EACH TEAM. THE COACHES ARE PLAYING FAVORITISM. ADULTS, ESPECIALLY COACHES, SHOULD BE HONEST!!!!! THIS GIRL BARELY MADE SECOND TEAM, FROM THE LOOKS OF IT!!!!! SOOOOO SAD!!!!!!!!!!!

Great volleyball! Great defense from P-N-G! Ozen has alot of talent, but it's going to take great defense to make it far in the playoffs. You are right #1 did make some outstanding blocks, and showed the greatest amount of will to win. Take your teammates to the same level, and you and your team will be unstoppable!!!!!!!!!

A'Lexus Brannon is a Sophomore. She has already won long jump as a 9th grader. This year her PR is 21'1/2" and this weekend she jumped 19'11 1/2" at Prairie View with only 5 girls jumping. She is just an excellent jumper who seems to improve each year. Way to go Girl! Thanks for giving the girl her props! Also, I agree with the Old School Coach, if individual events were given the same points as the relays, maybe the coaches would have to do more individual coaching. I was beginning to think no one cared about the girls track & field!!!!!!!
