  1. agree with PP4ever - Central and Ozen always have athletes with potential. Png has some offense back to build on, but the defense is gonna be hard to replace. There is about 100(slight exaggeration sp?) guys on JV, and God only knows how kids will develop in the off season. I think Lumberton is in a similar situation, but I do believe their underclassmen will be very motivated to work hard in the off season because they saw how much fun it can be to win. Vidor is loaded with Jr's and Soph's so they can be a factor. Dayton will be very good again and the extended season will only make them better. With all the blowouts there Jr's and soph's are getting some valuable experience. If Dayton is in the district they will be picked 1st. The more I type and think about it. It is very tough to pick in this district. I think PNG, Ned, Lumberton,Central,Ozen, and Vidor all have 2nd and 3rd place potential. I said all year no one would go undefeated in this district and I believe it will be true again next year. I think next year it is highly possible that 2 of the 3 playoff teams will have 2 losses. It will be a real head scratcher at the end of the season to sort out the head to head and point spread factors to determine the 2nd and 3rd place teams.
  2. sounds like the broadcast is in a barrel, anything that can be done to help?
  3. Waller + L train -----(48 min. football)---------> Walleyed!!!!
  4. Rule 1 is more of a concern than tailgating. I was at the Lumb/ned game and it took us about 30 minutes to get out of the stadium and that was after I sat in the stands and let the crowd thin for about 20 minutes. they better open up more than 1 hour before game time.
  5. hey 88, I just found you a toy. it is a red power megaphone with a sirene. located on Southeasttexas.com under miscellaneous/ item 69
  6. PP4ever which 2 out of 3 are you thinking. I know you are picking Dayton so which one between PNG and Lumb. are you thinking is gone.
  7. very interesting. PNG was very balanced tonight. 4 different guys scored and 33, 81, 2, 29, 9, 8, & 6 had plays where they gained 10 + yards.
  8. local news said most likely baytown on Saturday... sorry didn't catch which channel
  9. 88 just read your post about living in LCM isd. Get out now, move back home for the sake of your little one.
  10. 88 after reading your post about 4:30 am getting ready for last nite. I knew you were thinking it. Breaking the astrodome crowd record, that would be a real accomplishment. It'll take a few generations. you have to understand there are PNG people who drive from all over the country to come home for the playoffs, especially if its in the dome. I am not making this up. with the last state playoff against Stephenville I got up at 3 am to go to work to get off at 3 to drive to the dome. Had help from my relief who was a big Ned fan. He understands.
  11. hey lady raider. I understand that there is a process where coaches can flip for a home field game. If I was Coach C I would try to do the same thing, seems like everything he touches is coming up gold. He's got a hot hand. It would be wild if L won a home and home flip and played another game at home. Went to game last nite. L crowd is having too much fun. "more fun than human beings should be allowed to have" to quote a great american.
  12. hey 88 you dont have to camp out there will be plenty of tickets.
  13. dayton is going to take crosby behind a woodshed there just better
  14. you want to go that with it im tired of every time PN-G wins a home game people start talking about how we payed the refs.... just admit you got beat
  15. buna's had a good year this year but lets not kid ourselves newton's had about twenty good seasons in a row and probaly could hand it to a couple of 4a schools Newton-35 Buna-7
  16. if you need to go see a psych.... so do I. I bleed pretty purple, but I am going to see L and Ned play. sitting with L crowd. I agree L crowd was loud and having some fun against PNG. I have been known to act pretty crazy at these games so I guess I got it pretty bad. I been thinking for 3 days how to beat the traffic to the L stadium.
  17. PNG KNOCKS BRONCOS TO LEFT SIDE OF RADIO - During last nights ball game Bronco fans thought something was wrong with the broadcast, but further investigation by shine all nine technical support found that the Indians had run the broadcast to the left side of the radio and was interfering with the Liberty game broadcast ....
