I'll take HJ by 1 but think 14 is more realistic.

Hj by 20 if Sutherland call's off the press--30 if he doesn't

Switzer was fired because he had a talented team and did not win with them. A great indication that talented players still need to be coached correctly to be succesful. I was unsure who I would pick, but the more everyone tries to steer the award from Sutherland it seems they are actually making a case that he should win.

The sad part is this was not just a game to these girls. It was their season. Everything they had worked for!! All the practices, scrimmages and games. The OF ladies made a commitment to be the best they could be. To have someone they do not even know decide he would just stop their season is tragic. If it had been a foul call, traveling call or anything that pertained to playing the game it wouldn't be so bad. But this was just plain cheating. I realize there is not much anyone can say to change the way OF players and fans must feel but I consider OF our 21-3A family as I assume most HJ fans do too. Wish we could help OF change the results!!

Kids entering the field of play thinking the game clock has expired probably happens alot. To call a technical at this time is highly irregular and to call it with a 1 point difference in a playoff game is suspicious at best.

Any Ref that makes a call like that when the game is on the line is horrible. Sounds like he was trying to be the game deciding factor. Tuff loss OF. This is not the way it should have ended!!!

Good--solid-- fundamentally sound basketball teams will frustrate the athletic team that's not as fundamentally sound just about everytime. Being able to rebound 2 ft above the rim doesn't do much good if the shot went in!!! When OF finds out what's required to win the game--do it--and do it often.

We appreciate your comments about our basketball program. Coach Sutherland is a great coach and is the best at making adjustments during the course of a game. I'm not sure about OF's Football first mentallity (since I don't live there) but your little dribblers program has made tremendous strides thru the past years and your Varsity Basketball records are reflecting this. Ya"ll are putting some great players on the floor!!! You should feel proud..

We need all HJ fans to make the trip.. I know some hecklers have a baseball game that night but the ones that can come hope they make it. 1 Heckler equals 20 opponents fans any day!!!

What you said didn't seem to include sarcasm. You actually tried to justify your comments during the post. I'm just wondering---Are you BI-POLAR??

Oldtimer, surely you are joking? Are you saying the Silsbee kids, coaches and fans didn't care about this game? Are you saying they threw the game for the easier road in the playoffs? I saw Silsbee players that played their hearts out and just happen to loose the game to a better team on that given night. They beat HJ before and felt they could do it again. And with the team Silsbee has they shouldn't think any other way!! I don't think you could have given Silsbee a worse insult than you just did. If that is your way to belittle HJ's win you failed miserably. You basically insulted both schools and the integrity of the game played Friday nite.

It was a good game by both teams. I think the difference was too many uncontested turnovers by EC and that Thomas didn't shoot his best from the outside the other night. He had good looks at the basket but they just didn't fall. It happens!! High School Players can't be perfect every night!! Kountze played very consistant for 4 quarters. These 2 teams seem to be very evenly matched. Any of their games could go either way when they play each other. It was a very exciting game and both schools should be proud of their teams and excited about the playoffs.

OF will need to determine early what it's going to take to win this game. Take what they give you and make it count. If that means getting Granger the ball early and often then they better do it. I say OF figures it out early and wins by 5.

Hard to make a prediction not knowing anything about the other team. As long as Silsbee wins by 1 that's good enough!!

I believe they are Co-Champs and this game was just to decide which team goes into the playoffs as the number one seed. So, Congratulations to the Hawks and the Tigers! These two teams always keep it interesting! I'm not sure it could be you could be right. They (Silsbee and HJ) alway's have the best games. I just thought that becuase it was the winner of 21 3A that took the bye in the first round and we needed the playoff to decide who wins it. C'mon, Poppa - you know better. Can't believe that you want to stir it up. There is enough "Trash" by the younger folks, you Hawk adults ought to take the high road. As the expression goes, "Act like you've been there before." PoppaBearstarr--I'm glad Tigersvoice made it clear to you so no one else will assume the same thing. I wasn't sure exactly how last nights game impacted the district or if it did at all. But it was a fair question or assumption. Anyway, PoppBearstarr quit trash talking, stirring it up and act like you have been there before; oh yeah, you have been there before and Tigersvoice hasn't; right? How does he know how your suppose to act?? It's amazing how a simple question can bring out the obvious frustrations of some!!!!

HJ is a very talented team. Trey is a big part of that. All the pieces are back in place. They should have a very good chance to repeat. Like Lazeek said--one game at a time Hawks...
