1.     Maybe you ought to go ask the team about what i am allegedly quoting. they could probably give you some better insight into what i said.  Trust me I am not guessing and trust me that it is not a rumor.  As far as calling the school or him and asking for a truthful answer, Do you really think i would get one. COME ON MAN!!!!!  That just won't happen.      You are correct, Coach Morgan has coached at Buna for a very very very long time, he has gotten comfortable and complacent. Yes, you are again correct in saying that he is from Buna, which is also a problem.  He is now coaching players that have parents that he has either coached or went to school with. Was he a great coach at one time, probably so, has he lost his drive, probably so.  As far as talking about this man's JOB, it is more secure than you or I can ever dream about having in any job we will ever have.  Now if all Buna wants is a SHOT to make the playoffs, then by all means keep what they have, but there is too much talent on the team to just sit back and watch it just slide by.     It is time for a new coaching change in Buna, and anyone that doesn't think so, is blinded by the politics that run Buna. It is not just me that think this but people that have been watching buna football for a very long time, has the same feelings.  It is time to find coaches who aren't so attached to the town, who didn't go to school here or have roots. It is time to be done with just making one game in the playoffs and being happy. It would be great to have a Coach that has FIRE in his eyes, that doesn't listen to anyone, but depends on what he see's on the field. Will it ever happen in Buna, probably not in my life time.     Good Luck to the Cougars and Eagles tonite, may the Best Team win.
2.     #32 is D. Ford, he was the running back during his j.v. years and he is a very powerful runner. Doesn't have the speed of L. Williams, who will be greatly missed, but i believe he is just as or more powerful than Williams.     I have heard numerous times from many people in Buna, that the head coach started practice off Monday afternoon, by tell the players that there was no way in hell that they would make the playoffs and for the seniors to have fun and enjoy it. With everyone saying that the cougars have a shot at the playoffs, what kind of motivation speech is that to give the kids before going into fridays game. I know they are banged up, with injuries to key players, but how in the world is the rest of the team, the same ones who have been practicing, playing, and giving their all, all  year supposed to get up for this game when the HEAD COACH basically shuts the door in their face, threw in the white flag and said NO MAS. Which in my opinion he has done in alot of games this year. What kind of example, leadership and coaching is that?     Can Buna win Friday night, Yeah they can, alot of players have to step up. Like someone said in a comment earlier, they will have to bring their best game, but it can happen. So i say good luck to the Cougar players, sounds like at least one of your coaches, the most important one has basically given up. The Cougar fans have not, we will all be in the stands, cheering on the team. Hopefully both teams will play a great game, and at the end of the game there will be no injuries.
3. what has to happen for buna to make the playoffs, people are throwing out different scenerios, just wanting to get the bottom line.
4. Congrats to Woodville for making the playoffs. Hoping Buna gets off the field without anymore injuries!
5. i got to agree with KHS, but i think the Newton coach will get looked at pretty heavy also
6. What is even worse, WOS, is that the players are losing faith in the coaches.
7. AP, your team will do better next year, yall have played the majority of the season without your best qb and running back, i may be mistaken, but i know that they had 2 of the main players out.
8.   I respect your opinion, WOS, but i have to disagree. The problem is the Coaches, it is not only me thinking this. Went up town today and every where i went, that was the talk. The offense is predictable, when the ladies in the stands can tell you,  by which players have come in and out of the game and the formations that, then you know there are problems. The teams in district have figured out the cougars offense and know how to stop it. Newton, Anahuac, and East Chambers all have great athletes, but so does Buna. The difference is the Coaches, who have to come up with the plays and adjustments to give their team the best opportunity to win. Running the ball up the middle the majority of the time, when trying to get back into the ball game will never work, but the Cougars continue to do it. Just having a SHOT at the playoffs should not be acceptable. The cougars now go into that game without the starting qb and starting rb, that shot has pretty much sputtered out.
9.   Just have a simply question. What can the fans do to let the School Board know that it is time for a coaching change in Buna?   I am glad that the game ended up not being televised due to technical problems. It was EMBARASSING, i feel for the kids who played, who gave their all.
10. He did an awesome job, yall will have a hard time finding a replacement for him. God luck and God Bless in his future.
11.
BCoogs I understand your frustration and there are a number of decisions that have puzzled me throughout this season.  But in defense of the coaches, the team we played last night, not only shutout Anahuac, a team that beat us by 3 TD's , but also dominated Newton, another team that beat us by 21+ points.  At least in those 2 games, we were in them until halftime.  We were never in this game, EC is that good.  EC is no doubt the class of this district and has deservedly won the district crown again.  Congrats to EC on another title and good luck to you in the playoffs.  Lavergne and Roberts had solid perfomances among others for the Bucs tonight.  As for the Coogs, you never gave up, you guys got alot of heart and whether you know it or not, win or lose, all of us fans from Buna are proud of you.  Keep up the hard work and lets' beat the Eagles next week.  GO COUGARS!!!
Bruno, you have a valid point. Let's think about the 2 games that we were in until halftime. The big difference that Newton and Anahuac made during the halftime of those two games, were They mad adjustments either at halftime or throughtout the game. I have not seen this happen at Buna very much. Every coach in the district knows Buna's offense, they know L. Williams will get the ball. You watch the games and you see at least 8 to 9 defensive players, sometimes even more, 3 yards from the ball when Buna is on offense. This started at the Newton game and has continued in every game since. The plays that go the the outside and the passes usually produce good yards because it surprises the heck out of the other team, but those plays only happen rarely, because Buna goes back to running between the tackles.    I have always thought that it was the Buna players who got scared when they knew they were playing Newton. After watching the game, i came away with a different opinion. It is not the players who are scared, it is the COACHES.  In the Anahuac and East Chambers games, it was obvious that adjustments were not being made, but even if they were, the players were so tired that they would not have been able to play to their fullest. Go back and look at game films, if you can, or think back to the games, look at the size of the kids sitting on the sideline just waiting to get in. Could they be used to give the starters a break, YES, would it be beneficial to the team, the starters and the subsitutes, YES, but does it happen HECK NO.
12. First i wanna say Congrats on the win to East Chambers, it was great to see a team that is well coached.  Now i know that this will make some Buna fans upset but the cougars will not make the playoffs. The kids have played hard and given their best, they deserve to make the playoffs, but i really don't think that the Cougars should make the playoffs and it is because of the coaches. Now there are a couple of coaches that are really trying to make a difference, but i believe that some have gotten complacent, comfortable, and don't really put these kids in the best scenerio's to win games. The offense has to change, it has not changed much in the last few years and the other teams in district KNOW how to stop buna's offense very easily. L. Williams is probably out for the season with a severe ankle or foot injury, which happened late in the 4th quarter and with East Chambers up by 41. Why the star running back would still be in the game at that time, baffles the heck out of me and many others. Should the coaches have pulled him for the game and made sure he was ready for the game next week, HECK YES! Similar situation last week happened while playing Warren, why would the starting qb, K. Clark still be in the game as the holder for the extra points while Buna is up by alot, is beyond me. He broke his arm after being hit and falling to the ground after a bad snap caused him to have to scramble.  The starting quarterback for tonights game, G. Patrick, never came out of the game except on kickoffs. Besides playing quarterback, he was also the deep snapper, safety, and returner for both the kickoff return and punt return. The first team players for buna are dragging their tongues after the game, due to the majority of them hardly ever coming off the field, most of them play both ways. Are there kids on the sideline capable of doing a good job if they are subsituted in, YES, but this hardly ever happens. The starting offensive line is basically your starting defensive line and linebackers. I watched East Chambers subsituting their defensive line alot tonight, which kept their players fresh and very much into the game. Great job by the E.C. coaching staff!   I know i will have to hear it from alot of people about my post and that is fine, everyone has their opinions, but there needs to be some serious consideration, by the powers to be with Buna athletics to find some new coaches!
13. Well, Watchurlips ,  your wrong with your guess, but great try.
