PN-G had their spring game this evening. The Indians will be a really good team this season. f you were thinking a big drop off would happen you will either be happy or sad. They look great. LT. Jackson Christian Jr next season is already received 3 college offers. Freshman Wolfford RT is 6'6" 280 has received a college offer and will be a soph next football season. The line at PNG is huge. Bigger than last season. RB athlete Chase Johnson who played 2 seasons ago as Trahan's back up at RB and started in the playoffs when Trahan got hurt in round 2 and played in round 3 left football. He is back at DB this coming season. Really great athlete. The defense is swarming and very big for a PNG defense. The DC from Katy is legit and has these kiddos believing. Both receiver's outside are over 6'2". The back up QB Bailey will be a sight to see the coming seasons. This kid plays like a older player as a 9th grader. He was throwing dimes all over the field. The duo of Chatagnier (Ron McGill Chatagnier;s son) and Nguyen will be tough with Shea in the backfield as the QB. The defense will be salty. Power running and a stout defense. Shea throwing 40 yard bombs. They looked really good. The hits were awesome. PNG will be a good team this season.

Nope PNG. Since the 4th grade,
-
The team looks pretty good. Looks like the defense will pick up were it left off. The offense has some brutes up front. The running game will be stout. Nguyen looks great and Chatagnier is fast.

This is the first from PNG since the 1970's. We are grateful.

Who has the best chance to make it to state next season?
prepballfan replied to lcm93's topic in High School Football
I can give you a better read on PNG after Spring Practice either next week or the week after. need to see who the QB is. a lot is rounding into shape and I am liking what I am hearing. Jackson Christian looks to move over to Wares spot. He is 6'4"+ and 320. Romero will be dropping in on the line at 6'5" and 300. Noah Washington is a 6'3" and Nunley is a cool 6'2" both starting WR and depending on who wins the QB job the proven Shea Adams or the very dynamic Sopmore. If Shea keeps his role then the WR group will be 6'2", 6'3", and 6'5". Nguyen and Chattinger will be in the backfield. The Chatinger kid may ring a bell as he is the son of none other than the great RB from PNG Ron McGill. One of the rotational OL will be freshman 6'4" 260 Aaron Wolford. The LB core is back minus the older brother Nick Gardner who graduated. His littler brother S Gardner is back along with rotational players from last year in Uriostegui, Wuenschell, Sinette (TE/H-back), Talbert. Starters on the DL returning some were amazing in Hernandez, Fuentes, Cabrera. The defensive backfield we will have Richard, and Droddy. Both really good players. The biggest returner for us is Coach McDaniel. A really great defensive mind. Size will be everywhere for PNG. If the young QB ends up starting then add his speed to that of the blazing fast Chattinger and we will have some speed as well. I am not talking about state as coach says win one game at a time. I do believe that PNG will field a good team this year. I will give you guys a better assertation after I watch many of the spring practices and scrimmages. WE WILL MISS MASON DRODDY. The little guy with the heart of a lion. Jasen Ware will be at the Air Force Academy playing next year we will also mis him. Look for a solid Indians team injuries not included. -
Liberty Hill Highest Scoring Team in 5AD2
prepballfan replied to lcm93's topic in High School Football
Liberty Hill-Congratulations on this awesome feat. A well deserved congratulations. The LH - PNG game was a great game. had they had their two RBs it would have been a different game. The thing that I see is that LH could not stop PNG. After the half PNG went into slow down mode to eat the clock. So it is my belief that the Indians would have most likely won the game anyway. Yes LH fans were saying that PNG would have won. LH fans were wonderful people and many offered congrats to us and wished us well at State. One even said they would love to have a rematch this next season. -
Congrats if it's over

Some returners from last year Shea, Issac Sinette, Blair Chattinger, Nguyen, OL big Jackson Christian, Dylan Romero, Keegan Flores, Mario Miguel. DL Jacob Cabrerra, Andres Fuentes, Johnathen Hernandez. LB Issac Uriostegui, Mason Wenshuel, Sean Gardinar, Dylan Talbert. Secondary William Poole, Khameran Droddy, Ried Richard. These are the ones that started the year of as varsity starters or substitution players. WR Noah Washington, and also Ried Ruchard plays both ways.

Shea, Nguyen, Chattinger will make a very formidable backfield with that big line next season. Dang I forgot Issac Sinette is back at RB as well.

Quit a bit. I'll try and look and see. Give me a day or so on turnaround. I know the o line will be very good. Maybe better than last seasons.

According to the Indians site they sit at 643 and 366. That looks like 66.33%. Where does that fall on the list? -
DuBois named Vidor new AD/Head Football Coach

Congrats Vidor I wish you all the best and Hope for many successful seasons. -
My stance on this matter is simple and applies to any school. Open the job and hire the very best available applicant. That simple.
-
Yes he was a very big part of it!

One of the greatest coaching staffs assembled in recent times in this area was in Newton a few years back.
-
Spread offenses are the great equalizer, an increasingly popular way for teams with lesser talent to compete against teams with more talent.

Faircloth took PNG to the 3rd round 5 times

As a PN-G fan one observation I have made this season is that Coach Joseph and his staff he assembled handled the big game well. I am not just speaking of the SC game against SOC (a great and deserving team), but games such as against FBM both times. His staff prepared the team well and adjusted his game plan to each team. This may seem like an obvious comment to something that should be normal but it isn't. Another thing that is obvious, but did happen was PN-G continuously approved each week. Coach Joseph and coach McDaniel played together at Katy and won a SC while playing. Both also coached in SC games. The other coach McCrary played WR at University of Texas. He was brought to PNG from SLC. As a player McCrary played in back to back SC,s and as a coach in 2020 his team made the SC before coming to PNG. That's 3 SC appearances for the OC plus years as a WR for UT. I can see now that as coaches at PNG they all have experience as playing in SC games. This was evident that any game we played in this year wasn't an unobtainable win or to be competitive. Coach McDaniel was the DC for Katy for several years and coached them in the SC games. That's my take from our coaching staff. Yes Coach Faircloth left them in great shape with a talented offense. The new coaches moved people around and wasn't afraid to play any player at any position at any time. Great staff assembled PNG and TY for doing a great job while replacing the winningest coach in our history. I couldn't even guess what the future holds at PNG, but I believe as long as we have this staff being competitive is something we should see every week under their leadership. We have quite a bit back next season. The line will be huge. RB is back adding Blair too the backfield next season which will add a bit more speed to the backfield for next season. WR will have to be replaced. QB will either be Shea or the Soph next year. Défense has a bit back next season as well. By the way there is a person on here who said PNG, Nederland, PAM, Lumberton, Vidor and so on would never make it to state again. Haven't seen so much as a good season or I was wrong at all from said person. Dont really care. PNG had a great season. Hope we have another one someday. If anything this should give hope to similar landlocked, non-magnet type schools still can and will make it to the big game. Look at Silsbee they have been on the cusp for a few years. It is possible. The last thing I would say is TY to all of you who supported us in this journey. Your support was noticed and appreciated by Indians fans everywhere.
