2. The good ole Varsity Gold....what happened to tradition????????? :(
3.

Could be a situation where the new coach won't be able to bring in too many assistants.
Imagine that  :o :o :o  Are assistant coaches required to TEACH something at HF  ??? ??? ???
Obviously?
Not really an issue there is not much teaching going on at HF. They need to put as much effort into getting "QUALITY" teachers into the high school and getting them to stay.  There is a revolving door at HF when it comes to this issue.
4. Change is about all the new AD's paycheck will consist of.  HF doesn't pay too well.....  BTW Blue why don't you coach the boys in the summer league.  When our kids played the older basketball players who had graduated would come back and coach the kids in the summer league...LOL
5. The answer to your question is no they don't offer open gym to the kids on the weekend.  They could try and call a coach to see if they would come open up the gym for them to come practice.  Usually that didn't happen.  They used to play in the EC summer league not sure if that happens any more.  After a while the kids get tired of trying and they quit!  You have to have the support from the top to get the dedication at the bottom.
6. WOW  when our kids were in 7th and 8th grade at HF they were good too...........lol.  Wait until they reach high school.  The football teams always went undefeated.
7. Or the other choice is to stay and hope you kids doesn't get screwed by HF athletic department.  I would love to see the programs turn around you have great parent support and a lot of kids with alot of heart.  Mangan was definitely not a good fit for this school.  Put it in the past and move on.  Consider it a lesson learned and fix the problem.
8. Bottom line is Basketball is not a priority at this school.  They have had many talented kids come through this program but there was not a program in place to groom these kids.  If you have a basketball player.....MOVE!  There is a pretty good little dribblers program in place to get the kids interested, just no real interest at the middle school and high school level.  Football is KING but even that has went downhill in the past few years.  [shadow=red,left][/shadow]
9. Sounds like HF may be building a basketball program!  Glad to hear that I hope it happens.  I can remember many games where we were lucky to have 8 on the bench.  I hope it comes around for them.
