Not knocking either of our teams, but I don’t put much stock in MaxPreps when it comes to baseball. They have Godley ranked #1 in Texas, all classifications. I think we all know that ain’t even close to being right, Godley over Austin Westlake & SA Reagan, seriously? Regardless, both of our teams are pretty good, otherwise they wouldn’t have made it this far. Safe travels to all and here’s hoping for good games....,play ball & Go Rockets!!

Just my guess, I'm not an expert. Salado has been very solid the past several years. I just looked at Huffman's schedule, averaging 10 runs per game in the playoffs, allowed 9 runs over 8 games; that's pretty good. Salado averaging about 7 runs per game in the playoffs, allowed 18 runs over 6 games. I'm very familiar with two of Salado's playoff opponents China Spring and Lorena, both solid programs. LCM and Hudson are also solid programs that Huffman has beaten; looks like it's gonna be a good series. What kind of pitching depth does Huffman have? I know Salado's #1 is pretty dang good, both him and #2 are seniors.

It's just Robinson, we're not part of the WISD (thank God!) Should be a good series, I've been keeping up with Jasper all season and they're record is impressive and they are on a hot streak which is always dangerous. I hope to make it to the games, they should be close ones. Go Rockets!!

I'll take Jasper in this one. Looks good that they will meet up with Bridge City in the 3rd round, that should be a pretty good game (I understand they both have to get there first, but it looks pretty good that they will).

This post is in response to GUNGHO's post (I couldn't get the quote feature to work): I know this is irrelevant but wasn't it Robinson last year that had a QB setting the world on fire with his passing.We all know how that turned out for them.Salado completed some passes on us because we weren't really defending the pass.After coach made the adjustment they were ineffective with the pass.I am concerned about our offense so we can't get in a shoot out with Wimberly, so if we advance it will be on the defense once again. I'm sure they wouldn't mind a little help though.lol Alas, if we'd only had a defense last year I think it would have been a much better game. Putting 14 on that 2016 defense was pretty good though. We sorta got y'all back in the Spring on the diamond, maybe we'll both advance far enough in the Spring and meet up again. Safe travels to you all for the upcoming game.
