  1. Why is Burrell out? That number 21 RB seems to be a good runner. Why did #1 not play QB against WOS?
  2. HJ... what happened to your QB #1 and Burrell #3. #21 looks like a good back also.
  3. I think the only passes they completed the other night were a couple of screens. But, they were big plays. You just need to win. And that's what WOS does.
  4. Congrats to the 'Stangs! They outdid us in everything. There is a reason why they haven't lost a 3A game. They have a first class program. Hopefully Kirbyville will bounce back after that butt kickin'. I'm sure we will. Red zone stand by WOS just before half was crucial. Then after WOS fumbled the first play of the third quarter giving KHS a chance to go score for the lead, the Cats fumble it right back. Kirbyville's defense gave up about four or five big plays that was the difference. Fact is, when WOS smells blood, it is all over. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way.
  5. Yeah raiderpride! Plus your colors are the ugliest thing I've seen since my cat threw up that dead mouse. Nice uniforms! Makes me want to puke!
  6. I believe the first defense gave up 7 points. Late in the third they gave up a TD and late in the fourth they gave up the last TD. The second half TDs came when the subs were in. The first unit did give up 7 in the first half.
  7. That may be true, except four of those Kirbyville players (starters) will not play. Three out for the year and one is out for last week, this week and probably next week. Man, now to think of it, WOS should really hand it to Kirbyville's small injury-ridden team. No excuses. That's part of the game. Tell the 'Stangs to take it easy on the over-matched 'Cats. :-\
  8. The best player on the field goes three ways. RB, LB and Special Teams. Oh, there will be no excuses for either team who loses. WOS will outnumber Kville on the sidelines. Kirbyville robs from the JV every year. Heck, this year they are playing a true freshman as a starter.
  9. You should be right. It would be a disgrace for a "big" 3A as dominant as WOS has always been to lose to a borderline 3A team.
  10. Yes, it was this summer. I believe a July or early August issue after Dave Campbell's magazine came out. Joe always likes to downgrade Kirbyville. He did last year and I believe he referred to Kirbvyille's "little" stadium this week. We do have a nice new video board and loud sound system which he will see. In reality, WOS, Jasper and Silsbee should NEVER lose to little ol' Kirbyville. I've heard someone say that a SUPER WAL-MART city should never lose to a little DOLLAR GENERAL town. How many two-way players does WOS play? I know Kirbyville has to play quite a few because of the low numbers in the school.
  11. Joe Kazmar from Kaz's Korner of the Orange County Record newspaper wrote something to this effect this summer after reading that Dave Campbell's Magazine picked Kirbyville over WOS in the district predictions: "I don't know what they were thinking. Any year WOS could send their JV team to beat Kirbyville's varsity." Now that's some low-class smack talk!
  12. Oh, okay. Sorry. You only get one mark in the win column when you win no matter the score. Even when you're not as good as you once were by beating a team you USED to hang 50 or 60 on by having to struggle for three quarters THIS SEASON against the same type of poor non-playoff team. Crystal clear now.
  13. Kirbyville's not Hamshire-Fannett either mustangfan! Little ol' Kirbyville shouldn't even be able to step on the same field with the 4A teams who are now in 3A.
  14. Well, what happened to the time when WOS would be winning by a score of 41-7 over H-F entering the 4th quarter instead of 14-7 like last Friday? We are talking about Hamshire-Fannett remember.
  15. Last Friday night at the DAWG HOUSE (aka: THE BONE YARD) with 2:50 left to go in the game: Kirbyville Wildcats - 21 Jasper Bulldogs - 0
  16. Last Friday Night: Start of the 4th Quarter at Dan Ray Hooks Stadium last Friday versus Hamshire-Fannett: Longhorns - 7 Mustangs - 14 Wow! Impressive!
