  1. It’s possible. They just have to do it they’re going to do it.
  2. Okay Tigers. You lost to Bridge City by only 5 last time out. Bridge City just beat Washington by 9. Washington beat Yates by 3 in their first meeting this year. So Silsbee should be plus 7 against Yates. What do you mean it doesn't work that way? Anyhow, I know the Tigers will give it their best shot. They put together a pretty decent district season and have a post season win under their belt. You never know.
  3. I saw flashes of this in the first quarter of the first game with the Tigers. The Cards just ripped us up. I felt like they must have felt in earlier days. Gee whizz guys, where did that come from? It came from the fact they’re really good, that’s where.
  4. Seems like it. They never relinquished the lead once they got it, did they?
  5. God I wish I could be there to see the kids. But as I said I probably would’ve jinxed them.
  6. Update! We’re on pins and needles out here!
  7. Be me not mistaken, me thinks there be coaching at play.
  8. What’s the record vs Yates specifically? Going 2 for 3 in that run against Washington was really something. For those three years it was essentially the same teams facing one another all three times. Same core anyway. And it was more or less the same thing with Yates during the Bush/Adams/McCain years. Silsbee has surely been blessed.
  9. I’m on the road. Considering pulling over and signing up with NHSF! Better not. I might jinx them.
  10. Are you kidding me? Am I seeing what I’m seeing? Fantastic! No matter how it ends the Cardinals have already upheld the honor of 18 4A!
  11. It's a big game for the Cardinals, the biggest game for them in my memory. If they pull off the upset Region 3 D1 would be totally up for grabs.
  12. Barber's Hill is a good spot. Won't have to mess with that San Jacinto river nightmare on 10. Plenty of places to eat.
  13. Of course I'm hoping for an upset but Washington by 15. I may be underestimating the Cardinals. You never can tell about matchups and BC is a pretty good ball handling team. But Washington seems like their normal urban 4A magnet school selves this year.
  14. This is a post I made on the Silsbee thread. I'll repeat it here. I'll bet BC people would agree...... Here's what needs to happen. A double header. Silsbee and Yates in the first game and BC and Washington in the second game. And I'd like to see it played on this side of Buc-ees for a change.

  16. Ranked 4th, 25-2, only one district loss and that to 5th ranked Washington, legitimate shot at a state title. Yeah, they're good.
  17. An upset would be something. If memory serves, it's happened before in the not too distant past. Yates came in 22-1, undefeated in district, comfortable first round win. Different circumstances.... and yet......
  18. No breathing room. Down to the wire.
  19. And that will probably be it for them. But it’s a good team, the best I’ve ever seen at BC. How do these guys stack up against the best teams Bridge City has had?
  20. Lumberton at Silsbee. I don't suppose it's exactly a "marquee" game but the schedule says 6:30 at Silsbee. They may arrange to play earlier since it's still Christmas break.
  21. The Tigers absolutely cannot stop PNG’s point guard from penetrating. That’s the origin of most of their points.
  22. Pulled it out!! Great effort in OT!!
  23. I guess it's kind of a tribute that you can turn the ball over that many times and still be in it.
