Great game by both teams. One thing I noticed is that Central's body language easily showed defeat and the score was ONLY 14-7 at the time!!!! Our kids picked up on that and leaned on them even harder. We've got a lil' ways to go, especially in the passing game but we're getting there. "X" showed out last night in his first game back with 3 td's. Just another weapon added to the many we already have. Jacobi Jones didn't score, but boy did he have some NICE runs against a tough jaguar defense!! Tough game with Vidor next up. Better be ready!!!

A dominant performance by the Raiders who are now 4-0 & have outscored their opponents 119-12. Good job Raiders!!!

Not much difference between 4A and 3A in my humble opinion, however the team I saw Ozen face in Dallas yesterday would beat or rival nearly ANY team from this area INCLUDING PAM!!!! They were HUGE :o across both lines and VERY well coached. No, they were not very fast at all and didn't have to be. They executed well and you could tell they were used to being in big playoff type games like this one. Ozen will be fine. They had some good moments against Stephenville, who in my opinion were not unbeatable. I just don't think we anticipated clearly the cost mentally and physically of playing such a strong opponent. The experience alone will help Ozen grow as the year goes on. P.S.-  I'm sorry the above poster ::) ^^^ ::) is so elated about the bmt schools losing to 3A schools. I will say these aren't your average 3A schools though. Keep watching... ;)

Everyone was worried and crying :'( about Trey Green being gone ::), but Jordan Ozen, once he settled down was awesome!! He threw I think like 3 td passes and had to have close to 300yds passing. Not sure till stats come out tomorrow but to score 33pts in week zero against a bigger 5A school is not too shabby if you ask me. Game also kinda reminded me of the BH game last year. They were determined to stop Jacobi Jones from running and didn't realize Ozen is loaded with wr's and Mr. Jones is also one of them!!! He had almost 200yds receiving!!!!:o :o :o WE ARE PICKING UP WHERE WE LEFT OFF LAST YEAR!!!!!!! 1 down...15 to go. #TheCardiacCats....

I love how most ppl are counting Ozen out or barely in. These Panthers are HUNGRY!!! The taste of last yrs playoffs is still fresh & we're hungry for more!! The qb position is gonna be just fine. In many ways, even better. Jordan Ozen (SR QB) is the REAL!! The defense is gonna be quick, smart, & aggressive & BIGGER on the d-line. And yes, those wonderful wideouts will be back to torment secondaries again with some familiar & new talent. Heck, even the special teams got a boost with some new, foreign talent. The o-line is mostly new but not green. They'll be big & strong again too. Look for great season from this yrs squad. Congrats to LaMarque, despite all the coaching changes over the years, they still manage to have success. The one time Central played LaMarque in the 3rd round of the playoffs (I think 2004) they talked a lot prior to the game.  Don't really remember too much during the game but I think its more of their pre-game intimidation. Congrats to the Panthers on a great season but to be honest, a few Ozen players tried to start the same thing after the victory over Central earlier this year but the coaches were able to keep them seperated. Sometimes emotions run high. Not sure who we (Ozen) would resemble in the NFL, but I'd have to say we sure look a lot like Baylor this year. Mobile QB, great receivers, 40+ point per game offense, peaking at the right time, etc.... IMHO.

Our band has been awesome all year!! Most people don't know this but they effect the game for us TREMENDOUSLY!!! They motivate the kids to keep playing and stay energetic and focused. The band is our "secret weapon/X factor". Lol

Coach Nelson is VERY confident but his faith in God makes him view this success as a blessing, not as an entitlement.  ;)
