In the 50 they do shoot those gaps.it puts pressure on the oline.and with a rover coming off the edge its very difficult for any tackle to make that block.with ur Lbs shooting gaps too. And now this 4/2/5 he has a very undersized dline this year it catches up to us less talent. And now u have them trying to use there hands and get off blocks.and at the same time read what the oline is doing.while both Lbs sitting trying to read and make plays.they thought Lbs would be free to make plays.that will only work against teams that are smaller than us. And then u running a cover 3.something they have never done.middle of the field is wide up.against teams that aren't as talented as us.it works.but, against talented teams we hoping for alot of luck.hoping the kids can get off blocks and make plays.the hardest part abt all this is we have a couple of corners that can man up against anyone!! And we haven't been using this true strength on defense.ik u can't be great every year.thats why u have to take what a kid does well and go from there on teaching.its not there fault there trying to learn on the fly.

Lol, he said they were bigger. Last time I checked png has been bigger than us for the last 30 yrs. My first problem with this was.why didn't they look at how w.o been able to be png in recent years ?? And after png first possession they threw an INT. Why,all of sudden u run a cover 3. And everytime we substitute its always players going into the game not knowing what to do.all I can say is hoping for better days !!

And after speaking to someone that's there.unless they go back to what they know.this will be a short season!!they personal to run this defense that they are forcing on these kids.even at the 7th grade and 8th grade on up.dont have the type of kids to do this.i really don't see anything gud coming out of this

Same to yall.ive never seen anything like this.u went 4 rounds deep.and lose to the eventual state Champs. And I can accept the loss.better team won on that day.no excuses abt injuries.the better team won.so, u tell me a few months later bcz ur HC retires u bring in GUYS that don't know anything abt the team. And u let them change the whole offense and defense!! In a few months and expect the kids to understand what system u have.this is beyond crazy.who does this ?? I look at LCM and there great coaching staff.they didn't. I look at this new and great coaching staff at PNG led by stomp.i bet they didn't either.i think it's an insult to everyone that has played at W.O

I totally agree !! He is trying to force something on kids thats 15,16,17 yrs old. And want them to change everything they known since they started football.he is not a proving winner.on either side of the ball u just can't change everything.where have either coordinator ever won.i look at teams like png,lcm,silsbee.these kids are been coached!! They have a talented team and think they can just win on that. We're not going no 3 or 4 rounds deep.wait til they meet a well coached team.

I understand what u saying but,the problem is he has hired O/C AND D/C THat runs what they know and not what the kids know.and letting them run there side of the ball.so at the end of the day someone will eventually have to take the blame.i would hate to see anyone lose there job.i truly believe this want end well for either side

Let me help u with that.ive been talking to a few players today.and they gonna go with this 4/2/5.DC is determined to teach them his scheme.i truly believe it will only look like were getting better when we're playing weaker teams.but as soon as they play a well coached team that's it.lol, he even said they weren't even lining up right all nite.tough times moving forward.

I been with a few of the players tonite.ik at film today how mad the D/C got mad and broke his key board bcz of what they saw on tape.they weren't even lined up in the proper defense all nite. To made things worse.but what would he expect from kids that's been running a 50 there whole life.smh, I see a lot of growing pains coming.ik I didn't see this coming.

I truly believe everything u said.i would luv to see everyone succeed.but, all I see is the same thing we saw a Nederland last year. Just confusion.this system has been in place since 1980/1981. And it has proven that it works.NO ur not gonna win every state title but at least it gives u a shot!! I was hoping after all the confusion in LCM game they would have something figured out.but, now totally confused.like the first possession of the game ur in man to man.shaw gets the int easily.then u started trying to show them different schemes.ur not confusing them.ur getting ur team out of position.and it's bad when the LBS not leading the team in tackles.there guessing.w.o isn't gonna win a state title every year.but at least they could give themselves an opportunity.i don't see it.

But,the difference is u ran the 50 defense.and at least the kids could adjust.there not understanding this defense and its the LBS out the game.take for instance in the 4th.they ran play action and #19 there best wr was left all alone.no one knew who was supposed to be covering him.unless they got back to the 50 it maybe a long season for us.doesnt matter how much talent u have.if u don't have the coaching to go with it.

I would hate to see anyone lose there job. But, when the last time w.o gave up 32 and 27 in back to back weeks!! And to make matters worse your safety is leading the team in tackles. Incase ppl don't know #8 and #9 are the LBS. And I feel so bad for them. Bcz,they started last year.and now they're not adjusting to this new defense.

I'm sorry I don't believe that. If ur watching the game.u would know w.o has no clue on defense.since the early 80's all anyone knew was the 50 defense.and now u got kids at w.o running around not knowing where the football is.png has a new coach but I will assure they didn't change whole offense and defense.w.o will be forever 50 defense.and u have given up this many points in back to back weeks is an embarrassing!! No. The problem is coaching !! W.o is trying to run this 4-2-5.its not gonna work.the LBS are confused.they still looking to the sideline for a call.horrible coaching on both side of the ball.coaching !! I thought as the year goes on they would get use to this.totally out coached

I'm glad u see what I see. It's there only chance. And I hope png is seeing that teams aren't given our special team guys opportunities to return the ball.if they do it could really put them behind the 8 ball

3 things that should help. That u didn't mention.1 w.o has better CBs than lcm.and there long.lcm didn't really complete but a couple passes on them.but,one was a TD in the dB misjudged the ball. And there other score was on the safety who was looking at the sideline for the defensive call.so with the 2 wrs png has want have a big nite.BU kids tried but they're horrible!! Hopefully they get better.and w.o will be the faster team. So if they get back to shooting gaps out this defense.puts alot pressure on there qb.the kid from png has a descent arm. But pressure busts a pipe!! If png can do what lcm did were in for a great game.play action,and mis direction short throws to keep the defense honest and more importantly find a running game.

It is fact!! 0-3. But, beating w.o is the goal.yall will never win a state title then.the goal is to play for 16 weeks. And Silsbee hasn't done that yet. So, I'll take a state title over a regular win.

U are absolutely correct. We're lucky this is a very talented team but when ur not use to doing something that u have been doing ur whole life.and change it in a couple months.just hope they can iron it all out bf playoffs.but one there strengths that allows them to learn this new defense is shaw and Jones at CBs are tremendous.that what's really helping them.
