I believe that they were both warranted. The second card was for shoving a player after a CLEAN slide tackle and then cussing the ref. I think the saddest part of the entire game is that the coach thought all of the play was good and clean. Soccer is a rough and physical sport, but when your team crosses the line from physical to cheap shots as #12 did all night, it is no longer a sport. after a clean slide tackle yes. But from what i hear there was a not so clean exchange of words between the two players, and the insult in question slipped from a silsbee player's mouth. Now #11 should have been cool headed enough not to retaliate. But i have seen refs allow much more than a slight shove.. I know central is cheap and has quite the background but i still would not have pulled a red on that play. But who am i to voice my opinion?

Lady Bears have not played Lumberton Lady Raiders as of yet. The game was rescheduled to Thursday.

in all honesty fernando's card was well earned, cheered on by a small lumberton fan section. But the 2nd red against central was an iffy as to whether it was the correct choice by the official or not. He might have a record or prior offense that is unbeknownst to me but like i said i'm not sure if it was warranted.

i dont know why no one posted about this game. Probably written off as a blow off but did anyone else hear? Final Silsbee 0 Central....1 Fernando and Ernesto both got red cards as well as #6 from silsbee. The question is though, Where was central tonight???

1. we are the only undefeated team left in this area. 2. we are a game ahead of everyone else except LCM until they catch up tomorrow night when they play their games

i know i'm going to get flak about this because i'm aware this is not a lumberton thread and i apologize BUT i just felt the need to point this out...You played Lumberton to a very close game correct. But by chance do you realize that if it was your first game of district that it was also Lumberton's first game of district as well ;D just wanted to point that out. Now lets go back to the discussion of the great game to be played tomorrow by Vidor and Nederland. Very close. So i wont make a prediction. But i will be rooting for Nederland

About alex. Great speed. Good foot skills. And aggressive. Impressive player and a offensive power for lumberton. One of their more impressive forces in the front. Not taking anything away from the other girls but she will be missed whenever she begins playing softball...

The idea isnt bad at all. For a t shirt. But in regards to it considering it is a soccer jersey its a poor attempt at "keeping with the times". Its not terrible, but i dont care for it and believe they could have done much better with the design if they wanted something new. i completely agree..

USA has some older players but too many that are young. Did not play well. Needs to learn how to cover back post in my opinion but what do i know...Donovan did not play as well as i expected but Altidore stood out and impressed me. Bocanegra did well in the back, scared me for a bit there after that run in with the keep. Their left back...Corrales i guess...weak point in the back. Played somewhat well but did not have a defensive mind set. I am hoping they do well enough in the world cup but after tonight's display i have my doubts... :(

That's the vibe i was getting as well, that Lumberton girls would more than likely take district. With a very young team as well playing only two seniors it would seem that it will be a two year run for the lady raiders if nothing changes. Glad someone could get past the Hot girls comment to actually post an intelligent comment. p.s. MORALES GET YOUR EYES UP AND WATCH THE GAME NOT THE HOT GIRLS

Zimmerman will be a factor in this game, yes. However, i have to say that with LCM's intensity they will play with fire at this one. PNG just seemed to lack the offensive attack when i saw them play but perhaps it was an off night. LCM 3 PNG 2-1

Dont see Ozen scoring if nederland controls the ball like i know they can. However they have a few players that can cut down a defense so a point for ozen is possible. Nederland wins but agreed on the low score. Nederland 4 Ozen 0 Maybe 1

i'm going to assume your getting vidor's 1 extra point from the OT loss to lumberton? Question. the max points awarded for a game are 3. Lumberton gets 3 points for the OT win. I dont believe vidor gets any, Making them have 12? Right? If not please correct me because i am not totally savy with the revisions made to this years score system

Not much interest being shown on the boards for our female counterparts so i was wondering what the official standings and personal rankings are of each team of everyone. Who is looking strong? Who is flopping out? Anyone pulling out the upsets? Help ??? ??? ???

Just wondering what the standings are because i'm not exactly sure. A couple of upsets here and there so i'm just trying to get an overview.

When kelly played nederland i believe they only started ONE freshman and around 4 or 5 sophmores..so that means the other half of the team is junior and seniors. So that is roughly half underclassmen and half upperclassmen. and i believe the sophmores and freshman have been playing together for some time now, and they all have very good chemistry.. And for the most part there upperclassmen are all very strong players. so IMO i would agree with aries in saying that Nederland is more experienced And i know for a fact. That nederland Starts ZERO seniors. They have a few seniors but most ride the pine pony. No offense.

4 1 is the final. SO how many people want to pull there foot out of their mouths now? Nederland being expected to beat lumberton and yet they ONLY score off of a stupid play by an inexperienced goalie. But yeah...they are the better team, right? ;D

Records and what not aside. A week or so into district. Everyone is starting to get a good look at the teams and level of play. Just wondering what you all think at this point.

No offense to hardin jefferson. But unless Vidor's coach restrict's their scoring i think we could be looking at a double digit lead by vidor at the end of the game

I will have to agree with Nederland 5 LCM 2 in regulation.

First off i would like to say great job pirates for a well played game. Very impressive team that has stepped up their level of play since last year. People who placed you low in rankings at the beginning of the season will be eating their words it would seem. But after that. The game tonight should not have been as close as it was. Great game on both sides. I cant say much about our goals because i'm not quite sure but both of your goals came from well played attacks after inexperienced goal keeper mistakes. A ball rolled out straight to the right forward with the defense pulling up. Well placed ball btw and then a trickler across the box past our other inexperience backup goalie. All in all though GREAT game by both sides.
