  1. After having watched a couple games recently, Teams are starting to prove themselves and the cream is rising to the top so to say. Now dont get me wrong it is entirely too early to have a resolute order for the district but i want to see everyone's opinion of who is the best and in what order you'd put the teams in our area in.
  2. With Kayla Johnson missing from Kountze they seem to be showing a bit of a struggle maintaining there games but dont so easily look Orangefield, they seemed to have a strong cent and they even put up a fight against Lumberton with the Lady Raiders barely managing a win
  3. Nac was a very impressive team and as much as i hate to say it they deserved to win that game. But in no way possible did the score deserve to be 6 0. One goal results from our sweeper chest trapping in the box. Misplayed ball by the left back puts a ball directly in the middle of the field. Second half they get a free kick and our wall gets scared of the wall and breaks and then a poor defensive play by a defensive player results in a PK. They were a very good team, no doubt about that, they definitely are well deserved their undefeated season. But at most it should have been 2-3 to 0. But we played our hearts out that game and that's all that can be asked. We left our sweat and tears on that field, we gave it everything we had. Great Season Raiders. I love my family and our seniors will be greatly missed.
  4. is this a final or prediction? i thought that nederland played tomorrow? correct me though if i am mistaken ???
  5. or it could be due to the fact that some of there starters were unable to play due to injuries and feminine problems if i heard correctly. Causing starters to be moved around and changes to be made in their lineup. Not an ideal situation for a playoff game...but regardless. Score was kind of out there. Lady Raiders werent at the top of their game tonight. Great Season though ladies...
  6. Wow RAIDERMO - way to support your local teams.........kind of a selfish reason to want Waller to win so ya'll can meet up because of a football issue. Oh wait, maybe it might be because if LCM wins, Lumberton and LCM could meet up and settle things once and for all!!!!!!............something to think about - don't ya think? i read this and it made me ponder upon something for a moment, and if you hadnt been so rude to my team mate i wouldnt have otherwise bothered replying to this. HOWEVER you did, so i will, just going to point out the fact that with four starters not in their starting position including our second string keeper. We held yall to 3 3 in regulation... and still managed to win. Now i am in no way taking away from LCM because they are no doubt a great team and more than likely the next best team in this district. But if you take into consideration that we were roughly missing 1/3 of our District Championship team you can hardly say that the best team didnt win.
  7. Tremendous game by both sides. 3 3 at the of regulation. Overtime passed without a goal from either side. Shootout ended 6 7. Shots by Lumberton during the shootout were made by: Scott Poole Brennen Miller Brent Waldrup and to clinch the win final ball was put into the net by Garret Duhon.
  8. spazz...i would use your name to be more personal but i dont want to get you in trouble. Just shut up... they played a clean game. Leave it at that. And as to how WOS scored..Throw in, Sweeper at the time misplays the ball gets bodied off, still manages to clear to about the eighteen? Midfield was lazy didnt step to WOS beats them to the ball puts it up to about the six. Lumberton defender sandwiched between two WOS players just couldnt find the space to get it out. Result: Goal....
  9. With all due respect, it's not that hard to "not score" without kicking the ball out of bounds. Knock the ball around the defense a bit. Knock the ball around in the midfield. Your team can actually benefit from the practice of playing a little keepaway. After you have a 3 or 4 goal lead, work the ball out on the wings, and only score on headers off of crosses. Try to score only on one-timers. Not only will this be beneficial to your team, it will also keep the scoreline more respectable. Or an even better idea, in a game that you know you're going to win big, start the game out with kids in different positions and your subs in instead of waiting until you have a big lead. This will keep the score a little lower AND let you work on stuff for next year. i understand what ur getting at but if u were at the game u would have saw and maybe heard what their defenders were sayin to our strikers and i didnt find good sportsmanship in that. but its over now so we can just forget about that and worry about this friday I wasn't there, but i doubt i'd be real pleasant towards any players from a team that was running up the score against me. Did ya'll expect high fives from their defense? I was planning on replying to this before i read serpentor's comment. But even still as a matter of fact, regardless of the score i was holding quite a friendly conversation with WOS strikers for a majority of the game. So pleasantries were present even though the score was being supposedly "run up".
  10. oh not at all. I'm well aware that in comparison to our midfield and our forwards we are a level below them. No doubt. Eh we will have to be better to keep our hopes alive. But your right i have a hard time seeing us controlling considering the loss we will suffer in the midfield. No offense taken. Just took what you said a different way and was wondering as to your thought path to come to that conclusion. It's all good man. Just trying to get it straight haha
  11. Islander...i was just wondered if you have ever heard of positive criticism. Because other than one off handed compliment i have yet to hear you say something that wasnt negative.
  12. How can you figure that our defense is a weak spot when we have only allowed 10-12 goals in district. Our midfield aids but its not like the defense doesnt pull it's weight. If he means to say our defense is a weak spot i would love to know how and why he believes this to be true. Perhaps your right in saying that in comparison to our forwards and midfield is our weakest point on the field. But in no way to be considered a weak point.
  13. this statement is a contradiction in itself. Our weak spot will be perhaps on the defensive side of the field but not the defense itself. The back 1/3 of Lumberton's team will be intact next year. We will be under a lot more pressure in the back without the control in the middle of the field but like you said we will be hurt in the midfield. not the defense.
  14. but then again..when your FROM ozen. i would expect for you to try to root for yourself
  15. i'd love to know what you stuck in your pipe galvan but you should really lay off. Ozen is a good team, no doubt, and have greatly improved since the beginning of the year but can you really bet against the top seed in this district who has knocked off teams such as vidor and nederland both of whom have beat ozen as well..
  16. this is absolutely wonderful. i have no idea who you are but i agree with you 110%. Kudos.
  17. I can only hope that Lumberton is still a team to beat but i think next year it will be a struggle for us to maintain a top spot in our district. We are losing 10 seniors overall if i count correctly and out of our starting lineup we are losing....5? Our entire midfield and a forward. But our defense will be intact for the most part. Just have a lot more pressure next year on our defense to keep the other team out...
  18. i am sorry to say but nederland did play a pretty physical and had quite a few cheap challenges thrown in. Regardless of how high they are supposedly looking ???, idiotic but nonetheless, they still should not have made some of the plays that they made on our players. i wont even say plays on the ball because it isnt appropriate.
  19. Awesome First Half By Lumberton. PNG Stepped it up and the Raiders off the map for god knows what reason... With their starting keeper out and then mistakes by the back up keeper...and an act of immature passion resulted in an injury and that keeper going out. Just didnt realize how much of a difference it was to have new player in the back. Upset a lot of their play...Great job by Lumberton's Offense to keep them ahead and on top of PNG. Wish i knew what happened in the back tonight... Back post goal. Mistake by Keeper. PK. Another Back Post. And just like that it almost put's PNG ahead of Lumberton.. Win nonethless though..
  20. I was unaware of the game being rescheduled but in light of this i'll take it that this is a final? Ozen beats central...where has Central gone to these days?
  21. Last night's game was a great game by both teams. It was a well Clean played game by Central as well, i was impressed after hearing for so long about their bad reputation but they are not the team from last year in more ways than one. Perhaps it was due to the absence of Fernando and Ernesto but regardless i was surprised to see that played a fair clean game. But Lumberton played with intensity, the returning Varsity knew what this game symbolized, and you could see it on the field. Great Game by Both Teams. Congrats Lumberton 9-0
